Very easy process. Thank you to all that handled the refinance.
It took 5 months to close. We were not contacted about the process of the loan and where we were at. Questions were not answered and we received horrible customer service. I had to speak to a manager on two separate occasions. I still have not received a response to the last email that I had sent Mariely and I'm sure I will never hear back from her on it either.
My loan officer (Jason Stevens) was exceptional and I was happy to stay with PennyMac. Upon transferring to an approved refinance it was the worst experience I've ever had. My MAC Team was rarely responsive. Your telephone customer service was horrible.The paperwork was wrong and we had to cancel and re-sign. Nowhere was there an opportunity to elevate as we were told loan officers "did not have phones". This will be the last time I work with your company.

Jason Staples was great! The problem was with the loan officer that I originally was communicating with. She didn't respond to emails or voicemails promptly at all. Furthermore, it seemed as if each time we did communicate then there was another problem that rose that I had to fix. Unacceptable.
The changing of loan processors should have been clearly communicated to me. I was working with a Kayla for some weeks and they changed to Aida, with no notification. Around my closing, I wasn’t sure what to expect and didn’t receive confirmation from the title agency- I contacted Aida- with no response so I figured it out on my own. Just better communication would have been appreciated. Also- understanding it is busy times, each loan processors attitude could have been a bit better.
PennyMac made the loan process and refinancing easy and explained everything clearly. My loan officer Robert was great and communicated with me weekly on how my loan was progressing and what was needed from me to expedite the process. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the process did take a little longer than expected but everything went smoothly and worked around my schedule to accommodate me.
Penny mac made my refinance effortless. They were able to offer me a lower rate than another company, and it required almost no work from me since I already had my loan with them, they had all needed documents. I started with another company and quickly went to see if lenny mac could offer me lower because the other company said off the bat "we won't need to do this or this or this" and then every week since something changed and they do need these documents and this info. Penny mac 100% great
