Initially speaking with a penny Mac representative, the necessity for scheduling and meeting with a title company was not mentioned. Once the title company was involved, the poor, almost absent, communication between penny Mac, the title company, and the notaries was obvious. Ultimately leading to over a week delay in closing and causing headache because our loan documents were lost and then found to be shipped to the wrong location. Jasmine Elliot was amazing in her support and understanding.

It was very easy and saved me a lot of money in monthly payments
Communicated preferred closing date five weeks in advance and had three Pennymac loan officers over the time tell me that the date would work and be doable. Final approval took over a week causing us to miss the closing date which caused a difficult situation for my family as we could not close for another three days and had no other plans or housing options. I do understand it was a busy time for loans and they were swamped, I just wish it had worked as planned.
It was very hard to get a hold of Arille Smith or in general the calls never go thru. It automatically sends you to a voicemail that it doesn't even tell you who you are leaving it for. I never received a called back for those messages left. The communication is very poorly handled.

Very bad communication for closing. We set up (5) different dates to close and the notary did not receive the paper work to close so they canceled the day of closing each time.
