The process was quick and easy. The nest part is only asking for documents once instead of every week what the first company I was refinancing had done. All my questions were answered and they also took the time to explain the things I didn't understand. Overall great and painless.

Would have been nice to receive periodic updates about where we were in the loan process. At times I wasn’t sure where we were or if the loan was going through.

My closing was scheduled and rescheduled 3 times. Each time, I was ready and willing to close, but no one showed up to conduct closing (or the notary showed up several hours late), and I was never given satisfactory explanations as to why closing did not occur or why the notary showed up hours late. A notary showed up on 2 of the scheduled closings and the closing disclosure presented both times was different from the disclosure I was given 24-48 hours before the applicable closing.

I had to submit the same documents twice and did not receive immediate responses to my inquiries. Also, I had to call to ask about the status of my closing. It wasn't explained to me in advance. I also feel the explanations I got were not enough.

Once I opened escrow and was moving forward with the loan the entire processor was terrible. A Loan Processor is assigned to you BUT you cannot call them directly. You call the Penny Mac team and a different Processor would answer. I understand with the Pandemic they are all working remotely but every time I called I had to start off and explain where my loan was at. I would of pulled out and found another Lender but was I was too far in the process. I DO NOT reccomend Penny Mac.

I was kept informed about my loan process and never had to worry about anything. The closing was a great experience with no problems. All our questions were answered.
