Get directionsDealing with Penny MAC was a complete nightmares from beginning to end. I’ve never had such poor customer service in my life. Communication was awful, I was told different things by different people the entire time. We spent the majority of the time worried sick that we would not be able to close on time due to their incompetence. For the grand finale on closing day, they sent the funds to the wrong account and the loan was not funded until 7 PM even though we closed at 9 AM. Very unorganized!
Tameka was wonderful. She always took the time to explain every detail to me and was very knowledgeable. She always had the answer to my questions. Most importantly, she was very patient with me when I didn't understand something. She was a joy to work with. I would recommend her to everyone!
Awesome service!
Our loan processor was horrible! She did not communicate accurate information at any point. She sent an email stating the wrong status and that the closing would take place within the next week. She did not fix this error and it took several days of calls to clarify on our part. She always used the wrong name. She even provided the wrong closing date. Then, at 8:30 am in morning, told us she would call the title company to get someone out that day and would call us back. She never called back.
Everthing went very smooth even though we are in a pandemic excellent service.
Communication was awful and a plethora of mistakes were made that led to my closing being delayed and costing me significant money, time and adding a massive amount of stress. In the 10 home purchases I have made, this was by far the worst.
The overall process was good but the process of removing the forebearance was very frustrating. With a click on the mouse I was immediately enrolled with no questions asked an no information to explain in details regarding questions I had. However I had to take on the responsibility of calling customer service 5 times I've 2 weeks to get the forebearance removed even though my payments were current. this process needs work.
communication
The process was horrendous. The entire process took approximately 4 months. At points, I was telling folks how to do their job (i.e. you do not need a subordination form if you are paying off a HELOC). That simple premises delayed my loan for at least 2 weeks. I didn't speak to my loan processing individual once throughout the process. However, I do believe she was brought in midway through the process as the original loan processor went MIA.
