It was hard getting ahold of someone. They would always call me while I was at work even though I explained to them my work schedule and when I tried calling back I would always get an answering machine it took 2 weeks to set up a closing date. The notary that was used was very unprofessional. My closing date was rescheduled 3 times and my wife had to use vacation time to be there

There were several issues throughout the process, first was the request for documentation, I had submitted everything twice. Second was the request for flood insurance, despite pennymac years back being the ones that zoned me as not needing it. Third was the closing notary call, which happened twice and still was unable to get the correct address. Finally the closing documents, I signed three separate closing documents. None of them were correct and there was a difference of 300% in closing cost

Smooth process and to the point requests. Avoidance of redundant documentation requests and too many redo's. Mariely, kept me up to date frequently.

PennyMac has some really great processes, but there is a breakdown in the process if for some reason another loan officer is engaged and is able to identify a more favorable opportunity for the customer. That was my case. I wound up with two loans in process, with two M.A.C. teams that were completely separate. This led to difficulties, even the canceling of the funding of my loan following closing! It worked out in the end, but it was very stressful for us. More cross-team comms is needed.

Communication was terrible. Unanswered phone calls. Unanswered emails. We had a circumstance that was clearly disclosed from the beginning of the process only to be told at closing that it would not be accepted. Again , no communication. Then this representative was rude as we were trying to resolve the issue stating we were either going to do it a certain way or not. We finally closed a couple of weeks later to not receive funding by the agreed time frame because there was confusion .
