I received a phone call from you collections department the day before closing, telling me my payment was overdue. I had been told at least three times between May 15 and June 10 from different people at Penny Mac to not make my June mortgage payment, even if we closed after June 15. That phone call from collections was absolutely unnecessary and stressful for me to hear. The person on the phone was pleasant, but the message was not. Everyone else was helpful and responsive throughout.

The communication could of been better through out the process. After I talked to Abdul we never heard back from Penny MAC until Miranda reached out at the end of the process. We were told by Abdul the process would take 30-45 days, the process took over 2 months. I called Penny MAC multiple times to get status updates and twice I was told the process was pending because further documentation was needed. Not once did I receive a call or email to let me know this was the case. V
The “Mac team” is a joke I Would call for information and speak to someone new every time, they would tell me they will message my loan officer and no one ever gets back to me. This was a reoccurring ordeal I experienced. It was nearly impossible to get in contact with The people assigned to me. I sent many email that were never responded to. I left many unanswered voicemails. Towards the end I found myself having to be called daily just to speak with some one who could tell me what was going on
several issues. none of my request for preview of documents were honored. the fees were too high. I had to request explanation of fees several times before the action was communicated. my email responses were not made in a timely manor. the closing cost on a $248k refinance I feel were too high. and the list goes on............

From time of application in late feb to closing it took very long. Also after I applied I had to call and follow up to get things moving. There was also a delay from when all docs were in to telling me what I was waiting for to close.
experience was fast and simple. easiest refi I have done. was kept well informed of what was going on and the timeline of what to expect, Very happy with the experience
