I had a great experience refinancing with Penny Mac, they met my expectations and provided great customer service. They took the time to clearly explain everything that I had questions about and closed in a timely manner.
Customer Service Reps were always available to take my call without having me wait longer than 2 minutes.
Process was quick and painless once it was clear what my intentions were.

Return calls. Be able to actually speak to loan officer and processor directly vs. going through a main number and talking with someone who then had to relay messages to Loan officer and processor. After signing loan documents, I noticed my name was spelt incorrectly on the Deed of Trust and also that it was spelled incorrectly on the initial Preliminary Title Report (item #4). I immediately called the main line to tell the loan officer and processor that the Deed of Trust and Prelim.........
Everything was communicated well and the closing was seamless.
It was a pleasure working with PennyMac. Everything was on point and closing was earlier than expected, which was a pleasant surprise!!! Thank you PennyMac!
Overall it was great. However, you waited til 2 days before closing to reconfirm my wife’s employment and we were literally signing the closing documents when you cancelled the closing because you hadn’t received the confirmation. Not impressed!
Replies/communication were hampered GREATLY by the Covid19 impacts on working locations. I do NOT fault Mykela for this, AT ALL. She and Ranjnesh "Angel" Prasad were fantastic to work with; knowledgable, patient, and very helpful.
