Better communication from closing agent. She was very good the day of closing but prior to that I had to leave several messages for a return call. The supervisor listed on the voice mail was never available; voice mail was full and not taking messages. I was told that someone would go over the paper prior to the closing and I did not see the numbers until the notary arrived. Overall the experience was just okay.

Right from the start...when we had questions they were answered promptly....The people who dealt with us were most pleasant and professional...Our loan officer and loan processor were both really great....and followed thru with everything they promised. would recommend PennyMac to any of our friends/family who wish to re-finance....(or finance) their property. Thank you!!!

A. Rowe was pleasant and saved the day for PennyMac. The following occurred, all beyond Rowe's control: 1. Initially turned down, despite Penny Mac having my exiting loan and this being a refinance, presumably due to self-employment; 2. Phone call (third party hired by Penny Mac) called to verify my employment and asked to speak to a man to verify my employment at my own firm; 3. Loan closer inexplicably did not show on Sat., 12/5, as scheduled. Had to reschedule on 12/11.

The Mac application website was never updated on time. And our closing was a little confusing as an hour before closing the title company had never received the documents. Although we closed on 12/9 it was just a little frustrating when we take time off work to close. Then PennyMac didn’t even know we closed on 12/9 the website says 12/11 we closed, so the website where the application process was never updated. Just makes it confusing.
