Ceista was really great, but she was the last of a seeming long-line of loan processors. I applied for this loan (as an existing Penny Mac customer and at Penny Mac's own urging) in July and it closed in December. Unacceptable. I've re-fi'd in the past on at least a dozen occasions and this was clearly the most tortuous. The only reason I didn't go somewhere else was because of abject stubbornness. Ceista did a great job once she took over, but my negative view was cemented by then.

Great experience overall. Docs requested twice were simply because they were not uploaded into correct folder - probably by me. But it all worked out. Daniel and Justen did a great job.

Our closing was delayed three or four times. Three separate notary officials called and said they did not have our documents on the days of our appointments. The notary finally showed up without a mask, only a face shield. I only found out later that this is "not" proper protocol. I also found out during our signing that we were buying down the interest rate (paying for points?). The doc packet left for us has information cut off the bottom of pages. Ms. Gladney was kind and showed concern. How

Probably what most affected the negative side of my review was that I was told in both emails and in my closing that I would have no payments on mortgage in December or January. Sure enough, December PennyMac sucked a payment out of my checking account. The reason I stayed with PennyMac is I felt there would be good communication between the two mortgages, since it is the same company. Either PennyMac has terrible communication within the company or I was grossly misinformed or it wasn't expl
