all our questions were clearly answered in a timely manner and in a way that we understood them.
Did a great job with this loan.
The approval was pending for at least two months which delayed closing. The closing person missed our appointment 5 times.
Sheryl Freeby was very helpful and kind. We had an unusual amount of trouble with the appraisal process but that wasn't the fault of PennyMac. Sheryl was good at pushing things through as quickly as possible. She also didn't mind how we submitted documents as long as she got them.
My employment was verified four times, during one phone call Ms Johnson went from we need to verify your employment to no we do not and then back to we need to verify your employment, the process said Was in a flood plain, ms Johnson said that was an error after I provided survey maps to prove I was not in a 500 year flood plain, the closing date was over a month delayed, throughout the entire process I think I was contacted by six different people. The overall process was terrible.
Too many people working on one loan. Items not updated soon enough. Too many hands.
Christine Perkins was superb and did help out so much to clarify and assist in the process. My score is based on the behaviors, communication style and lack of professionalism of Yuri Abrego who was my first contact with PennyMac. He was abrasive, ignored responses, and then would not respond to multiple emails from our Realtor who was trying to assist with getting Title information. At one point, stopped call with Mr. Abrego due to my getting so frustrated - and called him back later.
From start to finish, pennymac was communicating with me on a daily basis on the status of my home loan. With other lenders I applied with, they never met my expectation amd wasn’t approving me for what I requested. When I would make a call to pennymac to gather info or see what other documents I needed, they would quickly answer. If they didn’t answer, they were sure to return my phone call promptly.
If a little bit of professionalism is shown by this specific person will at least be worth refinancing my loan. It took many email and calls before she got the numbers right, made multiple errors in my documents and made me feel like I am a nuisance for asking her to provide the correct information. I should have gone through another loan services other than PennyMac because of this one loan agent. Had such a bad experience.
