Easy from start to finish
Great experience
This was an absolutely horrible experience. In fact it may be one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with any company. The gross incompetence was unbelievable. See notes on this file: Karlie Ilaria
Promises were made an not kept. We did everything we were instructed to on our end and completed communication and documentation before the deadlines. We could never get clear answers as to what was holding up the process, and other departments were difficult to get in touch with. Our closing agency did not have any communication from PennyMac until the day we were supposed to close and that was only to notify them that we would not be closing.
Ruben, my loan officer- was spectacular. He communicated promptly and clearly. Once my documents went into closing status though it was nearly impossible to get any communication back from Benjamin or Ray. E-mails went generally unanswered. And the few that were answered were only replied to after 3-5 days of my having to leave voicemail. The only positive I have to say is for Ruben, who was excellent. And that things actually closed on time due to my and the title company's vocal persistence.
The loan process with PennyMac was great. The loan team was professional, courteous, effective, and efficient. They did everything they said they would do and everything went according to the schedule provided. Cmmunication was clear and timely. I highly recommend the PennyMac loan team.
Speed and clarity
The loan experience was seamless! Application was simple and the loan closed five weeks prior to our lock expiration date.
