As first time home buyer I must say it was truly a great experience working with Pennymac team. They were in constant communication offering guidance and support on each step of the process from approval to closing, and were always available for questions. Joya was very friendly and answered all of my questions and stayed in touch with me thru the entire process
The whole process took about two months. Documents sent were full of errors and it took three or four iterations to get them correct. Total errors amounted to more thank $10k. Even at closing the numbers were still incorrect and closing had to be rescheduled. Contact person could not provide answers or reasons for errors and I had to drive the process. Final straw was when I received another person’s confidential Disclosure Documents. It was not a user friendly or professional process
Numbers on the closing disclosures estimates were always off or didn't match up with what was verbally told to us. We were being charged too much for items so our rep kept going in and updating. Once we got the updated document emailed after the fact, another number changed and was off so we had to keep calling and have them fix. This happened 4-5 times. When I called and left voicemails or emails, it took 1-2 weeks to get a response. Very frustrating.
Tami Soto was such a pleasure to work with. She guided us through the process and answered all of our questions in a very timely manner. She was always very helpful and pleasant. I would highly recommend Tami and Penny Mac to all of my friends and family. Cathy J.
