There was barely any communication throughout the process. I had to call, email, chase several times then received a different answer from each person I got on the phone. Everyone was nice, the loan rep was very nice. I had noidea when docs were drawn. A notary called me which was great. No one told me my loan funded, no one. I had to call escrow and they were never told from pennymac and it funded 3 days prior, wow! I know everyone busy, but so no excuse.
Eric the original loan officer, and Nicholas, the processor, were FANTASTIC to work with. I contacted PennyMac after I started to refinance with my employer. I would received substantial savings to refinance with them, but it did not take too long to understand that they didn't know what they were doing. And - the process for the same loan would have taken months! The only fly in the ointment was the title company and negotiating closing. They missed the first closing and had to reschedule!
Timely, helpful, and pleased with the end result.
