Took 2 months longer than estimated to close, had very little communication with our loan agent, struggled to get answers for questions.

Penny Mac worked so well with me to ensure I received a better rate. They were a easy to work with and anytime I called they were fast and easy to talk with.

Documents were requested multiple times. I would send them and then a few days later I would get a call that they needed the docs. Also my closing docs had a lower closing cost than really needed. I wasn’t updated until the late afternoon before my morning signing. I had to go back out to the bank to adjust the check amount. Communication between Pennymac and me and also among the PennyMac team would have made things smoother.

Our closing was cancel the 1st time 1.5 hours before our appointment time on 6/5/20. Our closing for the 2nd time was cancel 5.5 hrs before our appointment time on 6/12/20. We were rescheduled for the 3rd time on 6/26/20 and the amount due at closing was incorrect on the paperwork. I sent an email on Wednesday July 1st just to ask what the correct closing amount actually was and how we can expect a refund. It's is now July 4th and I still have not received a answer : (

Nichole Littleton responded promptly and clearly to any queries we had. Additionally, on several occasions when I called PennyMac directly, I was fortunate that Nichole was the representative who answered the call. Not only was she helpful during those calls, but she remembered me immediately. I feel like I made a new friend and can't thank Nichole enough for making our refinance process easy, and as stress free as possible during these unprecedented, uncertain times.
