Overall, the process was great. Deion and Ricardo were especially helpful and great to work with. The only real issue was the closing. We had the closing scheduled and I made arrangements for child care during that time. The closing time came and went with nobody showing up or even calling me. Deion had to talk to the title company who told him the notary was unable to make it during that time. I wish that information would have been communicated better.
PennyMac made the refi process one of the easiest things I’ve ever done in my life. After trying a different lender (which made the process take over 5 months and still not complete), we decided to stay with PennyMac. One phone call and less than an hour later, the refi process was almost complete! The loan funded quickly and the people I interacted with were genuinely helpful, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to talk to.

Beth and John from PennieMac were both great to work with and are amazing examples of what a mortgage transaction should look like. They were prompt, communicative, and easy to work with. The initial process was very smooth and almost seemed unbelievable, near the end, things did slow down due to some issues inside and outside of their control. This did ultimately cause us to close 7 days late on our loan, which was frustrating, but luckily did not break our deal.
