Everyone on the financing team was knowledgeable about helping me to understand the figures and how the process work, why the closing cost was the amount it was. Very good about explaining and breaking every thing down, so it made sense to me. The closing went, well and very quickly, just as promise! Overall a great experience because the process moved smoothly and went as planned. The only thing that did not go as planned is having the documents ready for the loan officer. She had to wait until later in the day to receive the documents which pushed our appointment out later.
Each rep I worked with during this process was exceedingly helpful. From Floyd to initiate, to Nate Hoffman for the remainder, I felt valued. All of this was done during the pandemic with reps working from home and I didn’t feel any disconnects due to that. Even to the notary who came to my home to finalize, this was a good experience. Thank you.
All went smoothly
In view of the Covid 19 difficulties, Drew Schmelig did a really good job. My problems were in that getting information or news from others was very difficult. Like a last minute employment verification to prove that I am still employed by my own LLC. A refi of an existing PennyMac loan should not take two months. It took four scheduled closing dates to get a notary to finish closing. An emergency notary came at 7pm after the 4th notary no show and a threat to take the loan elsewhere.
