Initially, I wanted to speak with a person at PennyMac, but was forced to apply for the refinance loan online. I am a computer dummy, so I had problems with the online process, became frustrated, and called other loan companies so I could speak with people about refinancing my house. Just as I was about to select another loan company, PennyMac called me and very patiently walked me through the loan process. I cannot thank PennyMac's staff for their patience and skills at explaining each step.

Called on 06/11/2020 looking for closing information, Representative did not know if it closed. Internet did not have refi information and showed only previous loan dates and payment schedule. Representative said I would get info sometime in the future. Asked about new refi payment and how to set up. Got no answer.Representatives should be able to answer basic questions.

what would have made it better is if your loan officer would return your phone calls and emails another thing that would have made it better is if people would listen when we would tell them our house was not an HOA instead of arguing with us that it was another thing would have been be able to reach someone in the closing office rather than it go between person and being told one thing from a closing agent to a different thing from a closing agent The whole process sucked

I called back the day of the approval to request that the escrow money was returned to me. I followed up four separate times to confirm prior to the close date. However, at the closing the original numbers were in the package. To avoid any delays as the lawyer was there and the representative for pennymac stated their system was down, I begrudgingly signed the disclosure to avoid any delay or rate change. (The agencts and representatives were alway courtous and professional).
