Bait-and-Switch Scam - Avoid This Place I went to Peoria Ford today to see a 2017 Ford Explorer they listed for $14,899 with 70,014 miles -- it was posted for sale online back on July 23rd. The service aspect was really good. I would be careful when you're making reservations. You would think if you had an appointment that your vehicle would get in right away. I did it over a holiday week, I was very clear. Would this be the best time and he assured me that they weren't very busy. It took them five days to diagnose the vehicle and another four days to repair it. It cost me $450 in rental fees. I wish I had not gone there in the holiday week. Absolutely terrible experience!! If I could give zero stars, I would. We were shopping for a new truck, and they said they would value our trade while we were on our test drive. We had already received valuations from other dealerships and had an idea of what it was worth. We were shocked when they offered us $15,000 LESS than its actual trade-in value. So this poorly run dealership calls me at 8:46pm last night and puts the call on hold when it gets to voicemail. 4 minutes of hold music playing. I call them back and ask "why are you calling me at 8:46pm?" and I'm told "the sales team has a quota of calls to make.". So you called the guy that your finance department lied to? You called the guy who wouldn't buy a car from you, if you were the last dealership on the planet? Who runs this place? Well you be the judge if you want to give these people your hard earned money.
Took my wife's 2025 Explorer ST in for service due to warning lights that none of the safety features were working. Upon arrival, before even looking at the vehicle the service writer advised my wife that he thinks it was rats that ate the wiring and would not be covered under warranty which scared my wife. Worst service dept. You schedule an appointment only to have the vehicle wait for days until diagnosed. They don't call to give you updates regarding your vehicle - you have to call and remind them you're without a car. A rental will be provided if the problem is under warranty. After 5 days of waiting, you'll learn that the problem isn't covered under the extra warranty you purchased. Then you'll learn that the warranty you bought is identical to the one provided for free. Do NOT give your hard earned money to Ford Peoria. from the moment you walk onto their property they're already scheming to screw you over. Sadly unless you know exactly what you're doing when looking to buy a vehicle they will get one over on you every time. Dont rush into buying a car anyways but if you're determined to buy here TAKE YOUR TIME! You'll get more out of the deal. Make sure EVERY THING is in writing.
