Needed eye drops for eye infection. Went in, filled out form, saw doctor, got prescription, back at work in 30 minutes. I feel some of these reviews are a bit over critical. Sure maybe some of the staff could go a bit further to make you feel warm and fuzzy inside, but this is an "immediate care" facility, and is trying to operate as quickly as possible. I wouldn't judge a fastfood restaurant's food against a gourmet restaurant when they are clearly trying to deliver different products.
Yesterday I had to go to PIC for the second time in my life. Both visits have been extremely pleasant, warm, and medically accurate. Two years ago, I had a small cut on my finger that resulted in an infection. Dr. Gustas prescribed exactly the right combination of topical treatment and antibiotics and the infection clearly shortly. He also relaxed me, as I was very concerned about it. Yesterday I went to PIC in extreme pain and fear. I have been having intercostal muscle spasms and a muscle spasm in my leg. Again, Dr.... read more
i have nasal drip, infected sinus and a very red raw sore throat, exacerbated by overseas travel and doubtless not enough sleep, all coming to a head today (new years eve) when we have 11 people coming round to dinner and my regular dr is away til jan 3rd. was recommended to PIC by a friend and they are fantastic, so the crazed negative postings make no sense to me (tho they did nearly deter me from going ;) they established that i didn't have strep with a swab test (phew), prescribed me an antibiotic (and advised me to ... read more
I seem to get bronchitis and/or pneumonia with annoying regularity and I'm uninsured, so finding decent care is often a hassle. This place on the other hand is great. I arrived at 9:00 am on a Friday, and within, I'd say 40 minutes (which includes waiting room and paperwork time) I was out the door with the prescriptions I needed. They also gave me a discount since it was my first visit. Friendly and helpful staff. I'll be returning, though not too soon, I hope ;)
My office is one door down from this urgent care facility so I'm a regular visitor. In fact, I don't visit my primary care physician but for my annual check up. Most of my diagnoses and treatments have been perfect but this past summer I was diagnosed with a fungal infection on my foot. After applying the anti fungal for a few days my issues grew worse and so did the pain. I finally got into a dermatologist who instantly diagnosed my foot as poison ivy. To be fair this was the only time I did not get Dr. Gustas.
I read about this place on yelp. Got in at about 8am and was out at about 835am. Doctor was very helpful and informative. Receptionist all the way to nurse was very nice. They give you a 30% which helped a supppa lot. With my insurance not kicking in until a month later I spent under 200. Highly recommended
I get bronchitis all the time, and I can usually tell when I get it. So just recently, I was having "that cough" all over again. I googled this place because I knew I just needed antibiotics. I was in and out SUPER fast and the nurses and doctor were polite and amazing. They even gave me codeine cough syrup so I could sleep at night. It was so easy. I'll be back the next time I'm sick!
If you are looking for the friendly feeling of a family doctor this is not the place. I have used them a couple of times and been pleased with the service. One reason I like this office is that it does not bill as an emergency room (many urgent cares due), but as a doctor's office which keeps the costs a lot lower. If you do need to go I suggest trying to get there as early as possible, otherwise you may be waiting a while to see the doctor.
Needing urgent care is never a great feeling, so it's hard for me to look at the "Woohoo! As good as it gets!" description of the five stars I'm giving this, as Yelp describes it. But there it is. Had a really bad cut thanks to an incompetent esthetician, but stupidly waited to have it looked at. I really didn't understand how bad it was and the esthetician who had done it made it seem like no biggie. I took an hour out of work one morning, so there was all of a two-minute wait. The nurse who prepped me before the doctor ca... read more
