Beware and stay away from this immediate care (Physicians Immediate Care/ WellNow Urgent Care) . The care received was inadequate, with a lack of knowledge to diagnose correctly, resulting in me ending up in the Emergency Room. I visited the clinic on April 11 due to a week-long dry cough, difficulty taking deep breaths, back pain, and unrelieved symptoms despite taking over-the-counter medication. I had severe crackling in my throat that was quite bothersome. I consulted Annemarie Lodewyck, NP, who diagnosed me with a hig... read more

Be very careful-they billed my insurance 2 times for same day service using 2 different addresses-sketchy! Refused to only take our copay and made us pay over 500 along with taking the money my insurance paid them. 6 months and still waiting for my money back!

Business response:

Hey Lina, we're sorry for any billing concerns you’ve had! Please shoot us an email at wecare@wellnow.com. We’d love to help!

I went to the West Loop location on December 31, 2024. The PA was thorough and after reviewing my chest x-ray diagnosed me with pneumonia. I needed antibiotics. However, the radiologist overruled him and said it was a flare up of COPD. I was given a breathing treatment and sent home. After seeing my PCP on January 7, 2024, I was diagnosed with RSV and bronchitis. A week without care and antibiotics made me worse. Whoever this absent radiologist is, he should not be practicing medicine. Now I am sicker than I was when... read more

The desk staffer, Kiera, was extremely rude and it shocks me that she is health care administration. Besides her attitude with me, which I can ignore, she got pretty snarky with a women who had a sick infant, telling them that they can't be in the waiting area and that she didn't have any mask for the child. The child cough and she continued to make faces and I'm sure the mother was uncomfortable but just dealt with it in hopes of getting meds for her child. Another guy was having trouble uploading his insurance card, and s... read more

My initial visit was very good, only because I was bleeding. Follow up - terrible. Nurse taking vitals unfriendly. I kept waiting and finally left as my time is just as valuable as theirs. I was told that a tech had to go to lunch. RIDICULOUS. They sent me a message stating that I cancelled my appointment, NO I was there early and they were the ones who forced me to leave. I will take my stitches out myself if I have to.

Would love to give a zero. Nurse taking vitals had no bedside manner. Came off as generally rude/uninterested. I didn't see a physician. I was seen by physicians assistant named Branden. They swabbed me for a rapid COVID & flu test. Both were negative. Mind you I had a ton of symptoms and 103 degree fever for 5 days straight. No further testing completed and was told to return in 3 days if fever persisted. The next day I went to a Northwestern Immediate Care for a second opinion. They immediately took chest X-rays and I'm po... read more

This place is AWFUL. DO NOT GO. These retail medical centers are set up to get their hands on YOUR MONEY and your good credit. They make you sign a significant amount of paper work agreeing to sign away privacy rights, and pay for unforseen, unknown medical expenses of all kind. All of it is digital, they completely violate your privacy. You should have an attorney review the MANY forms they require you to sign BEFORE signing them. Unfortunately, if you are actually sick and in need of urgent care, these kinds of places woul... read more

Abysmal service and abysmal reception with over the top attitude by the receptionist who insisted on over charging us the co-pay by $20. Rude, inconsiderate, short tempered and totally inappropriate behavior from a supposedly health care worker. This is a place of last resort when all your other options have failed and you don't have any place to go, then I guess you will have to endure the ruse behavior.

Went in for an appointment at 11:30, waited 40 mins and at 12 asked the front desk how much longer. She gave attitude and said "that's a different section". You are literally getting paid to work there just do your job and go ask... unbelievable. The Lincoln park location has much better staff
