Needing urgent care is never a great feeling, so it's hard for me to look at the "Woohoo! As good as it gets!" description of the five stars I'm giving this, as Yelp describes it. But there it is. Had a really bad cut thanks to an incompetent esthetician, but stupidly waited to have it looked at. I really didn't understand how bad it was and the esthetician who had done it made it seem like no biggie. I took an hour out of work one morning, so there was all of a two-minute wait. The nurse who prepped me before the doctor ca... read more
Went back here in February, because I had a parasite I had picked up while traveling internationally. I noticed on their website that they do immunizations for travelers, so I called to ask if it was also something they had experience treating. They said yes, so I went in. I was still a little nervous going here, because I consider this a place to go to if you have strep throat, not a tropical disease. I had done a lot of research myself on what I was diagnosed with while I was traveling. The meds I had been given didn't d... read more
The good: I went to see them twice over a holiday weekend and both times, the wait was 30 minutes or less. The doctors and receptionist were efficient, professional and the billing worked out correctly. I'd already tried two of the in-store clinics at CVS and Walgreens and the waits were so long, they wouldn't even put new people on the list, so I was pretty grateful when PIC was so easy. The bad: They diagnosed me with a drug-resistant infection when what I had turned out to be a mild allergic reaction. They prescribed two... read more
Visited PIC a few months ago.... I noticed a bit of a scratchy throat on a Friday, and then when I woke up on Saturday, it felt like there was knives of fire in my throat. Not fun. I was fairly convinced I had strep, so upon recommendation from my cousin I tried out Physician's Immediate Care due to the fact that it was Saturday. Their online appointment scheduler is pretty slick, I'm a big fan. I took a cab to their offices, and good thing because there is no easy parking nearby. The offices are nice. Bright, clean, mode... read more
After an extremely bad experience at Concentra Urgent Care on Chicago Ave, I ended up here. At Physicians Immediate Care my son was seen quickly and the entire staff was great with him. He was seen, diagnosed and we were on our way within 30 minutes. I would recommend this place to anyone and will definitely be returning if we have an "urgent care" need again.
I'm one of those wait and see types with being sick. I waited for nearly a week for horrible pain and discomfort to improve. When it didn't improve, a trip to Physician's Immediate Care was in order. Formerly, I frequented another downtown care center, but my insurance changed and I was here. My incredibly awesome husband dropped me off here at 8:30a.m. in the morning on his way to work. I got in and filled out the requisite paperwork. After paying a small co-pay, they ushered me into a room to hear how my sick week from h... read more
