Do not go with this sham of a company. 96k Install on 7/2020 and I still have to have service calls every other month when the system crashes! Today a service worker showed up hung over or high and dropped his urine bottle in my driveway!

I'm a Powerhome solar customer. We ordered the service in February 2019 and it was installed in July 2019 A year later stopped working and it didn't get fixed until 3 long months later. Recently May 2021 I noticed the electrical bill increased by a lot, I called powerhome and they said I needed to be home. I work far away from home Monday through Friday. I called back on Saturday and they are closed. I paid close to $30k for the equipment, for that kind of money they should be able to send someone to my house and check the s... read more

They are in POWER HOME solar the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with in my life time, it took them 15 months working on my project to install solar pane at my house, the just turn them on on 06/01/21 and they start working on them on 03/01/20 , also they contacted my loan provider company and lie to them, they told them the project was done and the system is working three weeks after they start working so the loan company pay them and start my loan servicing and take my payments every month but in-fact the pro... read more

This "company" seemed okay, then I found a better price and I was with in the 3 day cancellation period because I was sent paperwork every day. The associates were ignorant and I canceled with in the time limit over the phone so I had no proof. Now they are attempting to charge me $1800 for canceling outside the window.

So to start off the people are very nice and respectful. And the equipment they use is really good and the system looks really nice. With that being said it's been nightmare since I started working with POWERHOME to get my solar install. First they pushed my install date back 3 different times witch then cause issues with the 3 party loan company. After they finally came to install the solar there was a miss communication about a panel upgrade (that they through in for free what was nice of them). So I had to wait another co... read more

I have recently completed my homes solar instillation with PowerHome Solar. I can not yet fully speak to the benefit of the solar panels on my electric bill but I would offer some words of advice that are not freely given from PowerHome Solar. 1) Your tax credit is federal which means you can not get more back than you paid in federal taxes for the year in which you file your rebate (i.e. if you were told you would receive a $15,000 tax credit, you will only get that much if you paid more than $15,000 that year in federal ta... read more

Horrible customer service, no one cared that things were going wrong. 5 rescheduled appointments to put a screw and 2 stickers on equipment. Came hours after scheduled window and didn't have stickers so it would pass inspection. So again another rescheduled appointment a month out. We had our system installed in March and it's still not functioning. No one has contacted me to see if they can make things better. Such an awful experience. I'm paying loan payments and not making my own power!!! This ***

Just don't do it.. go with your gut when dealing with these folks. Customer service is only a concern when they want you to sign on the dotted line. Once you have signed the contract, it is simply one problem after another and it never ends. We installed solar panels last year, late 2020, with a cost of $48,000. They've already had to write one check to us because for 3 months the panels were not working (we tried repeatedly to tell them, but they wouldn't listen to us and kept handing us off to different departments). Today... read more
