Grossly overpriced. Unfortunately I had already purchased a solar panels system from Power Home Solar when I found a gap of at least $20,000 between this company and three other quotes from different companies I requested out of curiosity with almost the exact products and services (trust me, thoroughly compared). Heed the warnings!!! Stay away from this company! After signing a contract (at 9pm when we were tired and worn down - signed only cuz we were assured we had 3 days to cancel), we looked at the reviews and one in four were HORRIBLE. Not great odds. Absolutely terrible company. From the moment the salesman forces their way into your home, they don't even look at you, just start spewing out how great the company is and how they're highly viewed and sought after. After a lengthy presentation about even more dog and pony show nonsense (ours took 3 hrs), they told us they sent a drone to our house while we were talking and that drone built a picture of our home with the panels we picked out (ok buddy...). We had a quote yesterday from a Power Home "solar expert". We spent 4 hours with the man. We decided to go ahead with the work, so he began sending us documents via e-mail to sign. We ran out of time as we had other obligations and agreed to sign the papers later that evening. The salesman texted us at 9:00pm asking us to complete the forms so he could "upload them". We ordered a system which they wanted to install last week. I had to cancel the installation after I found out they falsely stated on the permit application that the panels would be located on the same lot as the house. Actually, the proposal was for the adjoining lot, not the same as the house. So rather than face a code violation and possible work stoppage, I cancelled the appointment. Horrible company! Sales lies to get you to purchase. Customer service just keeps passing you around and never resolves an issue. My roof started leaking after install in November and now it's May...still not resolved. This company is a joke and not worth even looking in to.
Our salesman has flown the coop, We bought into this system back in November of 2020. Several promises made have not been kept. Our system was installed and pending inspection during the worse weather we had in our area. They left the trench wide open from February 17th to May 6th after scheduled appointments that were canceled by the company they came to our home and (finished) repairing the inspection failures. PowerHOme Solar has a terrible problem with communication among its employees and companies that it works with to install its equipment. Some of its members also have poor communication when working with customers and meeting deadlines for installation. When I signed my contract for installation, I was told that it would definitely be up and running within 4 months--Five and a half months later it was finally installed.
