DO NOT USE POWER HOME SOLAR!!! The salesman pressured us with a limited tax deduction offer which turned out to be inaccurate. The install crew tore up our yard and driveway. The system itself does not deliver on what was promised during the sale...it would reduce our electric bill to next to nothing. The batteries they sold us barely last a couple of hours with minimal load and the panel output takes nearly half a day to charge them up. The installation crew was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and and courteous group. They had our installation completed in two days. The equipment seems to be of good quality. However we have not seen the benefit yet ( 12 weeks after install) due to the horrible communication from Power Home. Whole house solar power systems are not cheap. You are given a personal "concierge" to help with the communication with your local power company. Our "concierge" evidently left the country because they were of no help. Had appointment setup, 30 minutes before they were to show up they called and said he had an unexpected emergency and couldn't make it. Powerhome solar offered to do a power point and give us a $2000.00 discount for the inconvenience. After the powerpoint presentation we discussed our needs and then came up with a price of approximately $60,000.00. Chaos from start to finish. My panels have been up for over a year and still not working as promised. I've been on an infinite loop of "pass the blame" with PHS, Generac, and power company. In a phrase, don't do it!
Very irritating to have a problem be corrected for 24 hours only to have it happen again. It is more irritating that I have to waste my time and lose money taking off of work to continuously be on site for techs to fix issues that should not have happened in the first place. This system is less than a year old yet I have had to put in at least 5 tickets to have issues corrected because of poor installation. Their people don't know how the system even works. We've had it 9 months and still have been paying a $100 electric bill! We cut down all our trees so there was no reason for anything not to work properly. They sent a guy out but it still is no better. Paying $231 a month plus at least $100 electric! This sucks! Taking advantage of 72 year olds is disgusting . I only left ONE star but it was put like 4!!
I was strong armed into signing papers when I only wanted a quote. They told me I had three days where I could cancel if I changed my mind. I decided to not go with Solar Home and cancel but have been given the run around for two days now. Their reviews are frankly horrifying but I'm unable to cancel. Whatever you do, don't get sign the papers. They feed you lies and then refuse to let you out of the contract.
Insurance paid them to replace our system and they have not . Called off and on since Feb 8TH 2021 system still sitting in yard. Still paying for them will stop payment this month .
Does not deliver on promises made during sale of solar panels. Promised a big savings on our electric bill and have not seen it. Between the solar payment and the electric bill we pay more per month than we did without the solar panels. Been given the run around every time we try to complain, dealt with multiple people to no avail. I would not recommend getting solar panels with Power home Solar.
