When we first started working with Powerhome Solar, they were great. Scheduling was easy, installation went well, set up was a breeze. But after about 7 months our solar panels somehow "got stuck" in night time mode. That was July 2020. It is now April 2021 and they still are not fixed. Back in August of 2019 i signed up for a power home solar contract. Prior to signing I was leery about comfiting to a $45k project since there was opportunity for me to be relocated for my job. The sales representative that was appointed to my account, (Marc B****) told me that Power Home offers a relocating service in the event you would need to move the panels and back up battery by Generac and can be transferred to the new home for free. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Terrible experience. 4 failed inspections. Total lack of follow-up from customer service. Zero communication, so I had to explain things every single time to a new person. Battery didn't come on during blackout. Wasn't connected to the grid to generate a credit until 3 months after inspection finally passed and the electricity company linked everything up. 7 months after everything was supposed to be working, it finally is. Just awful experience overall.
It took 6 months to finally get my 25 Panel system set up correctly. We will see if it was worth it.
This company can't get inspections scheduled, so they are quick to take your money but if you can't get inspections scheduled what good is the system? What a shame.
We were sold our solar system with the intention of reducing our electric bill by 40 to 50%. We have had our system for a year now and our electric bills have not changed from previous years. I have contacted Powerhome Solar multiple times and they say they will get back to me and never do. I have also called Generac and our utility company for solutions with no progress. We have spent thousands of dollars for our system and our monthly payment has doubled! I would not recommend this company to anyone!
This company does shoddy work and they messed up the paperwork for my grant money so I didn't get the block grant money So I have to pay around an extra 5000 dollars for my system BUYER BEWARE!!
Home installers ran the internet cable on down the wall of a bed room. Had to come home an complete the job myself. When calling for customer service, I receive no return calls for issues we are having with our power. Even though we have had fifteen panels and Generac battery for 5 mos., we have noticed NO savings on our power bills.
