The salespeople and installers were very professional. Up to the point where the city inspection was done everything went ok. Getting the company to come out and correct a twice failed city inspection has been a chore of epic proportions. How does a company ignore the repeated calls and emails of a customer AND city inspector who is spending a SIGNIFICANT amount of money on their system? Just ask Powerhome Solar, they'll let you in on their methods.
POWERHOME Solar is over booked, and understaffed. They have yet to complete my installation which began March 2021.
Just to start off Sales rep was easy to work with but after that it all went down hill. We started the process in Oct 2020 with promise twe would be on solar by end of Dec and it would replace our power bill. We'll 5 different crews and numerous customer service reps and 7 months passed promised start up date we still don't have use of our system and going on month number 8. They told me up and running in no time. That was 2 months ago. They have been out here 4 time already, still not running, 5th trip is coming yet. They also used metel conduit in the ground, and failed to bury 18 inches. Code called for PVC pipe , they refused to change it. Says they approved it, in house inspection. Of course they passed it, it's their inspector. 2 different fire marshals as well a a licensed electrician told me specifically, no metel in the ground. No exceptions, ever. The slowest service I've ever received from anybody can't get anyone to do anything I would not suggest this for anyone
They sent a fast taking high pressure salesman to my house who convinced me to sign a contract for $50000 promising to reduce my power bill to almost zero. After reviewing the paperwork the system they were attempting to sell me was not going to be sufficient to reduce my power bill that significantly and the salesman demanded an immediate answer. They blew up my phone for weeks with telemarketing and i decided to cancel the contract but it was past the 3 days and they now are trying to force me to pay $5000 or they'll put a... read more
Can't believe anything they tell you or promise still waiting on an inspection 2 months later losing money every day totally regret doing this I suggest don't do it
After reading the negative comments I feel I have dodged a bullet. I feel terrible for those that have had terrible experiences, but appreciate you letting others know. We had a sales person out so we could learn more about the solar panels, which took over 4 hours. We did not feel comfortable signing the contract even with the 3 day cancellation period and were made to feel guilty that the salesperson would have to come out again. I canceled my install after the 3 day window and they're charging me close to $7000 for canceling. I don't mind paying something for their time , but $7000 is just robbery.
