Power home has been extremely frustrating to work with. We were promised an inspection within 2 weeks of install and when we finally got an inspection over 2 months later, they had sent the wrong plans to the inspector, so 3 months later we are still unable to use the panels that are installed on our roof and won't be able to use them for at least another month. The employees consistently don't wear masks, they only installed insulation in half the attic space originally specified, and forgot to leave the attic staircase tha... read more

Terrible Customer Service and lack of communication. Can't seem to get our final inspection complete and system doesn't seem to be working properly. Can't get a call back about these issues.

I have attempted have solar power installed at my residence since 2018 when I first made contact with PowerHome Solar. Their salesman cancelled on me the day of our appointment 3 times between 2018 and 2020. Finally, in early October of 2020, a salesman did come to my home. Zack did his job very well, and sold me on the project. The following day we signed the paperwork to do the project, with Zack advising me it would take 6-9 weeks to complete, which was important for the $26K tax credit. The 6-9 weeks would put completion... read more

If I have to I'll give them one star but they don't deserve it. I feel sorry for all their customers that were deceived by their sales men. Get multiple quotes. Don't fall into the trap that I fell into. We signed up then called to cancel. I found a local and honest installer that could give be a better package for half. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Hi ****** we are sorry to hear you will not be going solar with us. We wish you the best on your solar journey, thank you.
The installation of the panels went very smoothly. HOWEVER, The system has yet to go online and I have already been sent a coupon for requiring the first months payment. The sales person made several financial promises: I would not be billed for several months after the system went online so that my finances would not feel the pinch of both the loan payment and an electric bill; I was promised bonuses for every referral that I made(I have made seven so far and yet the app indicates that none were made, one even resulting in ... read more

The service was excellent until after the Solar Panels were installed on August 21st. We still do not have permission to operate because we are waiting on an inspection and it will be 7 weeks this Friday since the install. I have been told that my county is not responsive to emails or phone calls, but I made one phone call and got a return phone call within 1 hour. The Inspector has to meet with a Powerhome Solar technician. I was told they can meet any day this week or the next. I called my contact Sean T***** and he said a... read more

Hi ****, we would like to apologize for your recent experience. We're sorry to hear you were less than satisfied with your solar experience. I see we have rectified these concerns for you, thank you and enjoy your system.
This company is absolutely awful. They aggressively advertise FREE solar installation along with a $2K credit if you contact them. My wife and I were intrigued and we went ahead and listened to the presentation and asked some pretty specific questions as well. First off, they offer nothing for "FREE" and want to charge you $30-40K to come out to your house and install solar. They give you a measly $2K credit on this and you're able to get it for 25% cheaper due to the government. Being in advertising for 20 years this is wha... read more

I have had nothing but problems with Power Home Solar since day one. We signed the contract and the next day we received a call that we had to redo the paperwork do to a mistake on their end. A day before the installation the city inspector showed up. He was given the wrong info about dates. I told him that Power Home was going to start the next day. The following day Power Home began the installation and the inspector showed up again. The inspector was told by the installation team when to come back so once again he left. T... read more

*****, I have forwarded your concern to the appropriate party here at POWERHOME, thank you.
Bottom line upfront. PowerHome quoted me 5.74 per watt for the installation of a 6500 kWh system. This cost is way too high given the average cost in MO is 3.14 per watt (adding higher quality equipment and a blanket for my water heater doesn't cut it). Just wanted to submit this for customers that rely on the BBB for company reviews and buyer beware I am really disappointed that this company is taking advantage of the people that are not aware of the pricing of solar. I am a retired Air Force veteran and prior systems analy... read more
