PB4-60 new out the box overheating after 8 hours of service. Replaced existing Polaris pump that lasted 8 years, this one lasted about 8 hours. Ran great initially, now overheating. As I have read a bunch of other reviews, over heating seems to be a common problem. Very disappointing. Now I have to de-install and return this one and install a new one. I heard Pentair doesn't have this problem, I think I will switch, although they are all made in China so it probably doesn't matter.

Lasted less than a year! I purchased this May of 2016 & it only lasted 1 season. I went to use it this season & it is not working. Clanking sound when started and it looks like the whole thing has somehow been stripped. Just like the other comments on here would be great if it would of lasted more than a year!
6 months of operation Product worked for 6 months and seized up. Looking to find a way to redeem refund.

Arrived damaged. Motor pump arrived damaged with a coupler fitting that had broken off in the top output opening. It should have been shipped with this fitting un-installed. Was a real job to remove broken coupler pipe threads but after an hour of careful work I was able to do so. Now I can install to see if anything else was damaged during shipping.

Installed myself and without issue. All the proper h/w ... Installed myself and without issue. All the proper h/w came with package and replaced an otherwise jet-plane for a dead pump. Hopefully I get as many years out of this one as I did the last.

Warranty Beware Bought this as a booster for my Polaris. Installed myself. Easy install. Quit working after 5 months. Contacted Zodiac about the 1 year mfg warranty. Zodiac informed me this pump wasn't covered under the warranty since it was not installed by a "licensed" professional. I asked them what a licensed pool pump installer was actually. Anyway, beware if you install yourself. Zodiac will not honor their 1 year warranty. Wonder where you get licensed to install a pool pump.........
