Progress customer service is terrible! My A/C was leaking and it took them well over a week to respond. I had to fix it myself. My children and I sat for 3 days with no working toliets. They raised my rent 10% each time I renewed. I have tried to find something else without renewing, but the 60 days notice makes this difficult. NO ONE will hold a place for 60 days. K.W and many others that I have read your complaints below. I completely understand what you are dealing with; I am going through the same thing. I moved to ********* from Jax and I have lived in an association community. They are charging us fees when they are being charged nothing, the association sends a violation and will send it three times before any action is taken. Progress is charging us $45 for a violation when they can't even deliver it timely. I get emails for violations they received notice of in August but not ... read more

I recently applied for a residence and was charged a holding fee upfront. That is not the main issue. I was denied and not given a reason. The agent I was working with is now not responding to my texts or calls as I wanted to know why. With a 30 day return policy of the holding fee if you complete expenses and I wasnt sure if I should continue to apply through Progress rental.

This company is a scam. They basically force you into the houses before you really get a chance to evaluate things out of the fear of "multiple applications ready to move in now". Once you're in, they rarely fix things and if they do, its half assed. Just TRYING to get things fixed is worse than pulling teeth. I had mold in my carpet from when our AC broke one summer and it took over a YEAR to get it fixed. At that point it stunk, was falling apart and was a health hazard. If I could give this company A ZERO STAR I would !!! THIS COMPANY IS A JOKE SCAM !!!!! RUN FAR AWAY FROM THEM..........I have applied to rent a home from them (Progress Residential) and had to jump through hoops everyday for a week between Email's phone calls to not just Progress but a third party RentCafe that no one would ever answer at either and when did answer would tell me to re-email or call and different department and I would still get the same run around, I still have not got ANY OF MY MONEY BACK. absolute worst rental company. their communication is god awful if you can get someone to answer the phone you're lucky. got approved and were supposed to move in 3 weeks later but heard nothing. called them a week before move in to be told our move in date got changed. thank you for not giving us a notice had we not called where would we have went? what an awful experience avoid at all cost these people do not care about you. This company is horrible. We are trying to move and found a property. We submitted the applications and even paid 250 + convenience fee to hold the property so then if approved we can move forward.Well they definitely approved us but we had to pay two months rent as a security deposit plus additional fees which we didnt have what that was. After reviewing the fees it would cost us just over ******* to secure the property. This company needs to be shutdown immediately before they get someone hurt. I paid them a holding fee for one of their properties and didn't get a response from them about the status of my application which was about a month later. I called to cancel my reservation and get a refund and they told me that the reservation would be cancelled but refused to send or provide proof of that cancellation or proof that my money would be returned to me. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! I applied for a home and decided that I didn't want to live in that location. I called to cancel the application and was told I would be reimbursed for my $250 holding fee. They said, ridiculously enough, that it would take up to a month to return to me. After a month, I checked on the status of my refund. They now tell me I'm not eligible for the refund because the house was already made ready and I forfeited that. I did not hold the house nor did I sign a lease, but they scammed me out of $250.
