Absolute worst company I have ever dealt with! I work in real estate and let me tell you these people are scam artists. Good luck getting a phone call or an email other than when they feel it is convenient. Refused to sign the lease until I get a call regarding the move in fee, never heard a thing. I had emailed and called multiple reps who never replied back or never called, even my wife. ***************************** is the worst of them all. I attempted to rent a home thru progressive. However, I was denied. After completing the application process I noticed my bank account was charged twice. I reached out them via phone to advise of the charges and I was told they needed a copy of my bank statement. I sent a copy of my bank statement via email as well as sent screenshots of 2 $350 charges. What do I get from the company radio silence. We've been with Progress residential since 2017. This is a horrible company to rent with. Too big... I can go on and on about all the problems since 2017 but will keep it focused on the recent issue. My AC is having a major leak. I filled out a ticket on Monday and they call and schedule for Wednesday to fix. They call that morning and claim they don't have me on the schedule (which is weird because how did you know to call me if I wasn't on the schedule?). Well, they rescheduled for the next day. My ********* applied for a house via the site. We received an email stating that both our credit scores & criminal backgrounds were approved. Our monthly income is well over the requirements of 3x the amount of the rent which is $1795 a month. We received an email stating we are denied due to not meeting the requirements. No further explanation. I am left to assume it is because we are Black. This is very unprofessional and misleading.

My situation is a little different than most on here, as I do not rent from Progress, but a Progress rental property is next door to my property. In the beginning of June I started requesting that their maintenance people cut back/down 2 very large pine trees whose branches are over my property line by at least 5 feet each, constantly dropping needles, pine cones and other debris on my property, and causing the grass underneath to die out. Well, if I had read the reviews on this website first, I would have known better than to rent from Progress Residential. We were not allowed a walk through before move in but instead they sent us pictures of house condition to agree to. The house is covered in mold and mildew on the outside and we were wiling to pressure wash it ourselves, however, we found more on the inside under cabinets, in window frames, showers, etc, Upon move in, we noticed that the stove had an error code where the time usually is. HORRIBLE rental company!! Thank GOD our lease is finally up so we can get out of here but do you think that Progress is done s******* us over? NOPE!! When we moved in we paid 1st & last month's rent, currently being charged last month's rent AND additional charges for time AFTER WE MOVE OUT (additional charges are over $500.00!! and we won't EVEN BE THERE... that's right they are charging us for the days AFTER we move out to total out the month!!!!!!!!!!! This is not a good business to even attempt to lease from. I attempted to lease a home through this company and needed to do so within a short timeframe. I needed to tour the property before leasing, but for days setting up the tour using Rently was a problem. I called and was told an agent would call me back to give me a code to get into the home. Long story short, progress will charge their renters for *** violations that are not the renters responsibility then give you the run around when trying to call and contest the fees. I have been calling, emailing and texting, as well as submitting maintance request since April of this year and they have yet to fix the *** issue which is tree roots. Which by their website is the responsibility of Progress Residential. Instead they have just been charging me monthly for the issue. Definitely don't recommend renting from this c... read more
