I applied for a home that was on the market on Friday, June 15th @ 10:59 PM. Once I applied was told that I would be charged $500 holding fee. This holding fee is to prevent others from also submitting an application on the same property. This $500 fee also supposedly removes the home off all rental websites and places a pending approval on Rent Progress website. I am trying to resolve a dispute and wanted an update on my deposit. A representative who took my call was so rude and a quote... "your asking the same question over and over again. I don't need to repeat myself. So is there anything you need?" .. I dont know what their policy is on customer service but if I were to talk like that to a customer I would have gotten fired. Yet I still bothered to ask if she was ok or if she was having a bad day but her respos was cold and rude. I hope nobody experiences the same thing I did.

This company is a FRAUD! On the 24th of May 2019 I called Progress Residential and spoke with the Leasing Agent Barbie who informed me that the house we were interested in at **** **** **** ************would be available on July 12,2019 and given all the information on how to apply for the house. She explained in detail how to apply for that house and were told it required a $500.00 deposit at the time of applying in order to hold that house and take it off the market. Renting a house from Progress Residential for 6 years with our 12 year old border collie. They initially required a pet deposit which we happy paid. Now at our year 7 renewal they are demanding a $35.00 pet rent per month. We are now having to move out of our home after 6 year due to the increase for our family pet. Never rent with Progress Residential, they are unethical. No respect for long term renters. This rental company is a JOKE!!! We moved into our home in Newnan, GA in 2019. We have had nothing but issues since then. We put in 4 service tickets within the first month of being there. Here recently we have received 2 HOA violations for our yard. When we moved in we were told that the company would take care of the issues because it was that way when we moved in. Honestly the most horrible rental experience we've ever had. We had to deal with this for one year. We had a problem with the second floor subflooring and after having several sub contractors come by and say the floor is bad. They ignored it and didn't even give us a call back to let us know what they were going to do. It became a real issue after the second floor started to cave in and still ignored it. My husband and I moved into our home in January 2018 (lease signed at the end of December-December 2019). We have had a few maintenance issues (electrical, plumbing, ac not working) and have never had repair issues (other than coming out two times or more for the same plumbing issue because it wasn't repaired the first time) with Progress and things run pretty smoothly where we just live here and pay them rent. Renters BEWARE!!! This property management company will up your rent EVERY year and no matter how you leave your home they will charge you 3x the deposit so they can refurbish it for the next tenant at no cost to them! We lived at our home 4 1/2 years, got a cleaning company to clean after we left...they are still trying to charge us to paint the entire house, to replace the dishwasher...which we reported was broken 4 months before and numerious other charges that should be considered normal wear and tear after 4 1/2 years! ... read more

How is it even legal to raise rentals 120.00 plus. Raising rents is insane especially with rental market and cost of living. People can barley afford to live.. Average of 120.00 to 300.00 dollar rental increase is not reasonable!!!!!
