Product didn’t work Product was defective
Brother is too big for its britches I bought this to print labels for file folders. Simple! Not with this label printer! Even customer service man at Brother told me this will not print a two sided label for file folders! absolutely absurd!! Im returning this!!
Software The software instructions and downloads are not clear. Nothing said about software bing on the machine itself. But I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer regarding IT
BROTHER QL-800 BLEW MAIN CAPACITOR AT FIRST START When the label printer was connected to the power supply on 10 February for the first time, there was a "puff" and smoke coming out of the machine when switched it on. I took it to an electrical workshop, and the technician told me that the main capacitor blew up, and fuse was also blown. I have not used the machine as I cannot find replacement parts. Defective With very minimal use, the cord would disconnect causing this to not work at all. It shipped 5 months ago, so contacted this amazon seller I purchased it from. I wanted to make sure I receive the correct replacement. They directed me to Brother. After literally over an hour, between 4 people, and having to buy the $10 cord myself, I would say go with another amazon company (they should have took care of this) and go with another Label company. Only worked for 1 month No longer prints labels correctly. No one at brother could help me.
So difficult to navigate program! I am very tech savvy. I am a photgrapher and am also very savvy with graphic programs. This software makes no sense. I cannot get the program to sync up with the printer label size, and when you dont hve the correct size chosen, it just does not work. I have gotten it to print maybe 5 labels, and they look great. Very professional, but very very difficult to make work. No videos or anything to help navigation.
