It has only taken a year and a half to resolve the bill issue with this company. I paid half the bill at completion of installation. An extra part I ordered for the sliding glass door had not been shipped with the door. I called the office to let them know and to adjust the balance so I could pay the balance. They had to contact another dept for that info but never called me back. I called several times and was sent to voice mail. No one ever returned my call. This long review is of two separate events with the company: First, my wife and I had a long range plan to renovate our house and we wanted new windows throughout as the original windows were nearly 50 years old and not at all energy efficient. Pretty poor service for the price. Quality of doors and windows is reasonable but not as good as the best. Installation was fine but they neglected to fit a foot stop and a wood strip was too short. Also, the screen door didn't lock. I went through several follow up calls when two of these issues did not seem to have been noted. We got a remedial fitting sorted and then the installer didn't turn up. Our experience with Renewal by Andersen has been terrible. We started the process with measurements being taken on July 7th. When our French door was installed in October it was a complete mess. The panel was chipped and the door was installed incorrectly. Many pieces were missing and they installed it without the frame inset. We contacted the company as well as sent pictures of the terrible workmanship. A supervisor came out and admitted the door had been installed incorrectly and was then reinstalled. After spending thousands of dollars on new windows in our home, this company has proved to be overpriced, not standing by their warranty, and totally uncommitted to their customers. We have had several appointments for repairs that haven't been completed because of an inability to find the part, incorrect measurements, and total disregard of our repair request. Definitely not worth the money!
Over priced They lost part of my order and delayed install of my project over 8 weeks. Hard to get a hold of anyone, especially on the financing side. They had to come 4 separate times to install my one door because they lost parts or didn't have the right parts to complete the install I do not recommend them at all.
I experienced the absolute worst customer service from this company. I had an appointment for 10 a.m. The day before, a Sunday, a staff member called to confirm the appointment. However, no one from Renewal by Andersen ever showed up. I called the company twice, was transferred and put on hold for so long that I hung up. I never received a call back to explain why the appointment had not been honored, let alone an apology. I did express my complaint on the "chat" option.
