The Veterans Program has been very helpful for dealing with trauma and issues I experienced from active duty. They have daily groups that address topics specific to veterans. The sharing from the other group members is very comforting to know that I’m not alone and there are so many people out there that understand me. Doctors here are good. Very helpful. I’ve seen a doctor every day and any time I need something I can usually put in a sick call and see someone or the nurses will help by emailing for me to get an appointment set. Some times they will call for you to help you out All the doctors are very relatable, especially Dr. Fahs. He goes out of his way to find me and if I have an appointment with him, I know he will come through and make sure everything is right with my meds. It’s a good program and the medical staff is legit.
The facility is nice and the beds are nice. Its pretty big here and the campus is huge. They have lots of activities and the staff is cool. Pete the maintenance guy is good people. He is always there when you need something. I’ve had multiple things go wrong or break and he will literally stop what hes doing to go help me out. He makes sure we are comfortable and don’t have to stress about chasing someone down to help. I appreciate the staff here being dependable
The doctors here are awesome. They have a whole team of docs that are here 24/7. Any time I need to get in to see someone, they usually help me get an appointment really quick and sometimes they will get me in the same day. Dr. Sina is really cool because he talks to you like a human being. He keeps it honest with me about what my options are and all the different side effects of certain medications to help me make the best decision for what I need. Its super refreshing to have groups that are exciting and fun to attend. Some of the facilitators like Demetrius are so motivational because they share their stories and really drive the point home by telling it like it is. I always look forward to their classes because I know Im gonna hear what I need to hear that day for my recovery. Demetrius does an anger management class and gives us certificates at the end. Mattie has been very helpful and really really awesome. She helped me get clothes on my back when I didn't have anything and she is very understanding. I kept losing my clothes in the wash and she helped me get more stuff out of the donations closet. She has been really helpful and I wanted to recognize her for understanding and making me feel comfortable with clean clothes and everything I needed for treatment.
Its honestly refreshing to meet staff that are so relatable and will share with me about some of the things they have gone through which lets me know that Im not alone. Adrian will help anyone no matter what floor he is assigned to. He has helped me get bags of popcorn for movie night and he also grabs the laptop for us to watch movies on Friday and Saturday nights. Ive been trying not to eat a lot of carbs here and the kitchen staff has been very knowledgeable of individual wants and needs. Alanna in the kitchen has an infectious laugh and smile. She always knows that I prefer chicken and salad to stay healthy. The kitchen here does it's best to make special accommodations and give options. They had chicken shwarma and vegetarian options too. The nursing staff is very efficient with certain nurses. Sometimes the med lines are long but with Nurse Heather, she has a system that she has everything prepared before hand to make sure med pass goes quickly which helps everyone get to groups and Town Hall on time. They start off every day here with a Town hall meeting which is like a daily update and information session to let us know what to expect from the day.
