I have gotten a lot of one on one attention from my care team at River Oaks. Amy has been very helpful as my therapist because she is sincere and makes it very easy for me to feel comfortable trusting her. She just has a good energy about her that makes me feel safe and able to open up about things I really need to talk about that I have never shared with anyone else. Stephanie is an awesome worker!! She is always happy to help and super speedy in everything she does. I think she is extra funny and always look forward to her cleaning my room or serving me lunch or dinner in the cafeteria. Its been great getting to know everyone here and getting comfortable with a new group of people. The staff here have all been amazing and Im having a great experience learning about myself.

I like when the staff are respectful to others and when speaking to clients. It can be a tough job but TA Rachel is always helpful and sweet. She goes out of her way to take the time and help someone, slow down and listen, or get something done. And if she cant help you right away she always follows up and makes sure she gets you with the right person. She helped me to get clothes after I came in with nothing and Im so grateful.

I have very much enjoyed the groups so far when I never really seemed to enjoy them in the past at other facilities. Amy the facilitator uses art for visualization to open us up more and help us understand concepts about addiction as a disease that affects the brain and our thoughts. I think it helps my learning style to be able to see things and interact more. I think she is a great therapist who takes her time to prepare special lessons and truly cares about helping others.

So many of the staff I have met have a wonderful aura about them, especially Brianna the TA because she is always so positive. She doesn't get onto us so bad like all the other TA's and she is very passionate about her job. I like that she always works in my dorm and makes this a much better experience, I really feel like I have created a sense of community here with the other clients and made some friends for life. Its been a great experience so far and I would come back again if I had to.

My house keeper on my floor does a good job. She is always super sweet and attends to my needs. It helps a lot to not have to worry about doing laundry while Im here. they do room service every day and the rooms are really nice. i dont remember her name but I think the entire house keeping staff does a tremendous job cleaning all these rooms on this campus every day and should be recognized.

I have never seen a more kind, caring, compassionate, and PATIENT nurse than the one who did my admission Nurse Dre. He was so helpful and comforting when I was going through the whole intake process. He made sure to get me hot food and kept me updated on what what going on since it can take along time. I think the staff has played such a large part in my recovery. This is my first time in treatment and everyone has been so nice, it hasnt been such a scary experience as I thought. They picked me up from the airport and Frank did my intake. He was so nice and listened to me when I was having anxiety about what comes next. Me and the guys love to play the musical instruments they have three times a week which has been super therapeutic because I am a musician by trade and Mattie made she she got me some drum sticks and guitar picks so I could get my sessions in throughout the week. It has been a good rallying point for the guys to come together and bond over music after groups. These activities have definitely been a great addition to my groups and therapy.
