The facility gym has been top notch. Every single day I have worked out on top of the line equipment from weights to rowers to treadmills and bikes. This gym is almost if not better than any public gym I have ever been to. I work out quite a lot and have been able to maintain my routine and work on getting my body back in shape. This facility is one of the nicest I have ever seen.
Amy my therapist has been instrumental in leading groups that have helped me so much with relevant topics in my life. She always creates interesting narratives for her groups and knows how to be moving and inspiring to me me feel something that I didnt know I needed to feel. I really think she has made the biggest difference in my recovery so far just by teaching me simple things that I can use in my every day life.
The classes facilitated by Demetrius have been so powerful. The way he controls and manages the classes is so professional and each class he teaches has an empowering topic. I cant speak highly enough of his lectures because they are just fantastic.
My doc has been there for me every step of the way. Dr. Vega always makes room for her clients no matter how many people she has on the schedule that day. If you have an appointment with her or not, you can guarantee that you will be seen. She helps with getting the correct meds prescribed and really explains why she is prescribing that type of medication. I have felt more informed after every session I had with her.
Mrs. Glenda in the kitchen is my favorite! She is so polite and supportive. I never thought the kitchen staff could have such a big impact on my recovery but they consistently greet me so warmly every day it has helped to take the edge off and help me to be less angry and a bigger part of the community here. Its helped me to feel more connected and open to building relationships. And it doesn't hurt that she makes great food!
Dr. Fahs and the entire medical staff have been very effective and helpful with all my issues since coming in with several chronic issues that I have been dealing with for years. Dr. Fahs was sensitive to my needs and let me know of different options and alternatives t things I had tried in the past. My therapist Rob has been simply amazing. In a short amount of time he helped pull me out of a deep depression. He always keeps it real and goes out of his way to tell you like it is. He creates a real sense of connection with me and always follows up so I know he takes it seriously and did not forget about me. Having him as my therapist has been nothing short of life changing.
I love the groups so far. Every instructor has been inspiring and respectful. We talk about all sorts of addiction and recovery topics that help me understand myself better and build up my tools for when I go home. We talk about things I will deal with in real life. My therapist Cristina goes out of her way to be creative with the groups. She is down to earth and I really appreciate the energy she brings to group daily.
The staff and tecks at River oaks go above and beyond. Tarshay is the best because she is so compassionate in her approach to everything. I have seen her be so patient with every one no matter what kind of situation it is, she treats everyone the same and helps people with whatever they need.
