I had a great experience every time I've brought my miniature poodle to the clinic. When my dog needed shots or check ups, or needed an emergency look at his neck, the wait was minimal and the staff was very professional. It's in a good location near my house and the price was average and expected in Manhattan. The doctors themselves were very professional and obviously knew what they were doing and the facility up to date. I would not have any problems bringing my dog back and actually plan on doing it. This hospital is the best because they save my dog of a infected eyes. They did a surgery to my dog and she feels more better than before. They are a great team, thank you :)
I notice that a lot of complaints on here are regarding price and to be quite honest, you get what you pay for. Manhattan is one of the most expensive cities in the world so why would vet care be cheap here? I feel better knowing that my dogs receive a high quality of care. The staff has always been very nice and comforting . Even if the prices are high, the doctors are willing to not do certain tests if there are money constraints. The staff here are EXTREMELY friendly, which honestly makes having to go to the vet so much more enjoyable. My dog was able to get a last-minute appointment (i.e., 15 minutes after I called because he was sick), and the vet who saw him was great. Dr. B was his name, i think. The vet assistants are incredibly friendly too - one even gave a free ad-hoc "training session" to my dog! They're also helping me find a dog walker. I think it is so crazy this hospital has any low reviews! My experience with them has been absolutely FANTASTIC. I called them one morning as a new client because my cat has been suffering a recurring UTI, and I've had a ton of problems with my previous vet. Even with only one doctor on staff, they found a time for me to come in with Mouse (my kitty). Gosh, sometimes I really don't get the Yelp filter. I suggest you check out the filtered reviews, as I'm sure they would increase the average rating for Riverside Animal Hospital -- as it should be. Riverside Animal Hospital is the best vet facility we have ever encountered. Dr. K has constantly gone FAR out of his way to help us deal with our beloved Wiggy, and continues to do so for our sweet Lucy. The entire staff at Riverside is wonderful. Our precious cats have been fortunate to be in the care of the Riverside Vet Group/Ansonia Vet. Hospital on W. 79th, an affiliate of the Riverside Animal Hospital on W. 108th St. We were appalled to hear about the recent irresponsible and devastating article by the New York Post attributing a tragic malpractice at a similarly-named but totally unrelated clinic in Washington Heights, to the Riverside practice on W. 108th. My husband and I moved to Manhattan several years ago and began looking for a vet for our two Boston Terriers.
