I echo the comments of a previous poster regarding the horrible slander committed by the NY Post (the Post printed a retraction only after the damage had been done... too little too late, and shame on the Post for making such a careless error). My cat was a patient at both the 79th Street location and the 108th Street location before he, sadly, passed away before his time due to cancer. I brought my sweet rescue pitbull to practically every vet on the upper west side for a year and a half before I found the only people who could help her - Dr. K and his team and Riverside Animal Hospital. They helped diagnose very severe food and environmental allergies that almost took her life, and they helped to get her on the road to recovery. I have taken 4 pets (3 cats and a guinea pig) to Riverside Animal Hospital for care throughout 20 years, and each pet has been extremely well cared for during their regular physicals as well as for more complicated interventions. Dr. K is a world class physician -- very thorough, equally knowledgeable about alternative treatments as about routine care, and very gentle, attentive, and caring -- and all other physicians and staff have been just as caring and dedicated and transparent. I have been incredibly pleased with the service and care my kitten has gotten at Riverside veterinary group, located at w 108th st. I can't believe that they are being libeled in this way by the NY Post. When my kitten was diagnosed with FIP, they gave her exceptional care and helped me stay calm. I would recomend them to anyone

This is for everybody to read and be aware of the confusion: I am writing to do justice to the RIVERSIDE VETERINARY GROUP, located at 219 W 79th Street. They are not, and could not be the same with the RIVERSIDE ANIMAL CLINIC where the recent bulldog tragedy took place. I have been really pleased with the level of service and care that my dog and I have received from Riverside Animal Hospital. I adopted my dog about a year ago from a rescue, and she has been pretty healthy, needing only some treatment for stomach upset and some vaccines. The Drs. and staff at Riverside are friendly and careful and always know the name and history of your pet before you walk in the door. They are also very gentle handling your pet. If your pet is a member of your family, and you are looking for care equivalent to what you would be able to get for yourself if you get sick, this is the place to go. (I guess assuming you have found a doctor who really knows your ailments, and you have health insurance!) :p I've been taking my cat, Raja, to Riverside Animal Hospital since 2005. I have been bringing my cats to Riverside Animal Hospital now for 10 years. The staff is totally committed to being there for me and my questions and provide service above and beyond what I've received elsewhere. Very friendly and kind. Dr. K is a great vet and is sympathetic to holistic treatment, which I appreciate greatly. Leon, Joliie, and Jacques are beloved customers and are treated kindly and with care. Highly recommended.

When all other veterinarians we had seen with our ailing Tess (rat terrier) told us there was no hope, Dr. K gave us hope. When all others told us she had a few months of uncomfortable life at best, Dr. K gave us therapies and herbs that kept her active and happy until a few days before she died a year and a half later. Need I write more? We now entrust the medical care of our new rat, Ruth Ann, to only Dr. K (and we have to travel quite a distance to do it).
