The Post recently printed a libelous article about the Riverside Animal Hospital located at 250 W 108th St, confusing it with a similarly named veterinarian clinic in Washington Heights. Dr K and Dr Drayton at Riverside Animal Hospital have sensitively and expertly treated my beloved senior kitty for over 5 years now. Riverside Animal Hospital has given my Dirk the finest care and the most gentle and insightful and wisest bedside manner. They have always taken care of Dirk probono as he is a certified, licensed and fully trained Service Dog from Canine Companions for Independence/ I am thankful they exist in our lives. Before moving to Chicago, my dog was a client of Riverside Animal Hospital for years. I can not speak highly enough of Dr. Freedman and the hospital staff who consistently went above and beyond to care for my beloved hound. I absolutely agree with Anca. Wake up people!!!!! The bad press was for another location!!!!!!! The Riverside Veterinary Group location at 219 West 79th Street is the BEST!!!!! I have a little Yorkie with many complicated health issues and the doctors and staff at the 79th Street location are just the most caring professional staff you could ask for. My daughter also takes her Yorkie to the 79th Street location for 12 years, with no problems. RIVERSIDE VETERINARY GROUP at 219 WEST 79th STREET is the BEST!!!!!!!
If anyone saw the recent article in the NY Post I hope you know that the paper mistakenly identified Riverside Animal Hospital as the site of the tragic death of a dog. Even though the Post printed a correction in a later issue I am so sad that this happened. Riverside Animal Hospital deserves nothing but the highest praise. We took our dog Bailey there for 3 years and unfortunately live in Brooklyn now, which is way too far away from Riverside Animal Hospital. I still miss the wonderful vets and staff there. Not only was everyone friendly and caring, but they understood our less-than-easy dog with a plethora of issues. Don't let the NY POST and their lack of ability to accurately report to dissuade you from going to a truly wonderful vet. They are simply the best.
I echo the comments of a previous poster regarding the horrible slander committed by the NY Post (the Post printed a retraction only after the damage had been done... too little too late, and shame on the Post for making such a careless error). My cat was a patient at both the 79th Street location and the 108th Street location before he, sadly, passed away before his time due to cancer. I brought my sweet rescue pitbull to practically every vet on the upper west side for a year and a half before I found the only people who could help her - Dr. K and his team and Riverside Animal Hospital. They helped diagnose very severe food and environmental allergies that almost took her life, and they helped to get her on the road to recovery.
