Opie loves you guys! He is always so well looked after while there. I wholeheartedly trust Dr Weber's and Dr Kagan's veterinary advise when we bring him in for check-ups and puppy mishaps. They keep up with the rigorous standards to maintain their AAHA certification (since 1998) - lets face it, they are doing something right. On a side note, the puppy training tricks are life savers. thank you!! I only have the nicest things to say. The care and and customer service is worth every penny
We changed to Riverside Animal Hospital a little over a year ago. Our 17 yo cat was sick. Dr. Kasanofsky was terrific. He performed only necessary tests and prescribed appropriate medication. He is also willing to recommend a specialist or another facility if he believes his patient needs something that his office cannot provide. His staff is curtious and helpful. I must warn everyone that Dr. K. Is often running late, but that's because he tries to spend as much time with each patient as necessary. No practice is per... read more
I'm torn on how to rate this clinic and what to write. First I should say this is not the clinic I bring my personal animals too, but I dog sit a lot for one of my besties and this is that little guys regular clinic. I feel I should also mention I'm a child of vets, from families of vets, I've worked in vet clinics, and been around many of them all my life. So although the treatment has always seemed fine at Riverside (the 4times I've experienced it) something just seems off about the place. I didn't find the reception tha... read more

Thanks for taking the time to review our hospital, Kate. I understand your concerns, and please let me address them. After that, perhaps you'd consider changing your evaluation. Firstly, we're a paperless practice. So when you saw a receptionist giving medical information, they may have simply been passing along information that was on her workstation (from the veterinarian) to her. One of the first things we train our front staff to do, is to NOT PRACTICE MEDICINE!. It happens often that people call with questions like "m... read more
It's a little weird that they're someone stalking this page, flagging positive reviews, but i'm re-writing my review as a service to other pet owners. 5 Stars Because: 1: Consistent/Compassionate Care. My cat has been seen for regular check-ups and sick visits, has received medication and other diagnostic procedures. 2:Ease of appointment scheduling,dependability/professionalism of the support staff 3: Facitilites: They are a cat friendly vet, big waiting room, they allow my cat to check out the examination room and have a... read more

Thanks so much for the kind review, Paul. Sadly, they filtered your opinion of us out. But thanks anyway.
When I'm in New York, this is where I go for the care of my pets. Riverside Animal Hospital is the only clinic I have found that gives consistently excellent service. Dr. Raclyn is a great vet and runs a world class hospital.
I took my dog, Tyson, here for five years, and I always felt that everyone there, from the vets to the support staff, really cared about him, which is honestly so rare. The reason we started going to Riverside was because Tyson became incredibly sick one day (vomiting, etc.) and his regular vet wouldn't see him because it was too close to closing time, even though it was an emergency. Desperately, I called Riverside. In contrast, their staff stayed well past closing time to treat him, without complaint, without rushing us. ... read more
Love these guys! They obviously care very much about the animals they treat and are sensitive in dealing with humans too. We had a dog who became suddenly paralyzed and they acted professionally and quickly. Our dog now has total mobility and we owe that in no small part to Dr. East and the team at Riverside. The staff are real pros with heart.
Riverside cared for my dog for over 5 years -from vaccinations and routine care through illness (and an extra 3 good years) and finally to a kind death. I was very impressed with the level of care, follow up and kindness. The vets are all wonderful, especially Dr K. With multiple vets, 7 day, early to late appointments it was always easy to schedule appointments. The techs and office staff are very good. For test results, a vet calls and discusses with you. Yes, sometimes I had to wait - because another animal was there ge... read more
I am truly shocked by all the negative reviews...I think people forget that they have a personal responsibility to advocate for their pet and ask questions, just like you would for your own doctor. Vets are not superhuman and animals do not speak our language, if you bring a pet to a doctor and they can't walk on one of their legs or they have stopped eating for 3 days...why would you be shocked that vet would order some tests and you might have to pay for them? Yes, it's expensive...but until our pets are covered under our ... read more
