Dr. K, at Riverside Animal Hospital, has been my vet for more than twenty years, and he's the best! He--and the other vets and many fine technicians and caregivers--has saved my frail neurologically impaired, diabetic cat Florence on too many occasions to count. Riverside Animal Hospital gets my highest recommendation! We started going to see Dr. K at Riverside Animal Hospital around 2002, when I brought my dog Tara, then about 10 years old to see him for acupuncture treatment. She needed some alternative treatment to help her with her complicated digestive problems and aging body. Dr. K was always so loving and gentle with my special little Tara. Riverside Animal Hospital, and particularly Dr K, were the most loving, gentle and wonderful care providers for my beloved Lab Oscar. They took care of him when he was a rambunctious puppy getting into any and everything through his senior years when arthritis wracked 3 of his legs. They recommended alternative therapies and suggested we no longer give him immunizations apart from rabies due to his advanced age. Absolutely wonderful. My cat suddently took ill; they made room for us at the last minute and were extraordinarily kind, compassionate and skilled. They diagnosed my cat with advanced cancer and had to be put down; there was no push to do extreme treatments or pointless tests and very much appreciated. Big recommendation.
I moved to NYC almost 4 years ago and have been trusting them with my beloved Bubba's health ever since! Bubba can be quite difficult because he hates going to the vet but they are SO patient and caring with him. I trust them implicitly and recommend them to everyone I know!!
Dr K has been our vet for more than 20 years. He and his colleagues have cared for our cats and dogs with compassion and excellence. I can't recommend them highly enough (and I can say that after having to have them euthenize 4 pets over the years when nothing more could be done).
The doctors and staff at Riverside are amazing and caring. It's so clear that they are at the top in training, skill, service, and love of the animals. They're accessible, keep you informed, let you know possible alternative treatments up front. I've been going to Riverside for 5 years and have never had a single complaint!
In case you're spooked by the write-up in NY Post July 23, 2011, please note that the reporters were incorrect (and lazy in their reporting, I might add). The veterinary clinic that allowed Cowboy the bulldog to bark itself to death--and then tried to cover it up--was NOT Riverside Animal Hospital, but Riverside Animal CLINIC, and they should be ashamed of themselves for showing a picture of the wrong place and thus slandering this wonderful facility. I have brought all three of my dogs over the years to Riverside Animal Hospital. The care they received was everything I could have asked for--technically and professionally first-rate, caring, always accommodating to my needs and to the needs of my dogs. When my first dog had to be euthanized because of lung cancer and old age, they could not have been more sympathetic and helpful, making a very unhappy situation as bearable as possible.
