I understand mishaps happen but when you are in a caring profession and not take steps to recover from a mishap, that is the point my understanding ends. Recently the hospital's system failed. They called me 1 day before our appointment (which means they somehow had some access to data) and told me they are working on fixing the issue and will call me asap with a reschedule. My experience here was TERRIBLE. They totally mismanaged my dog's giardia, causing her to have the parasite for TWO FULL MONTHS. I am now going to a different vet (Uptown Veterinary Associates) and have been totally happy with them. I got a new puppy and made an appointment for her health check-up. It turns out she had giardia, although she wasn't having diarrhea at the time. They prescribed Panacur. I went to pick it up, and they told me to bring back a stool sample. I said okay. Horrible experience with this place. We used to take our cat in and loved the service provided by Dr. Cawein. However, now that she is gone a different doctor tried to convince us to bring our cat in so that we can CONTINUE Dr. Cawein's meal plan, which has been working perfectly for our cat for a very long time. We have used the services of this Vet for over 10 years. Our 2nd dog has severe allergy issues and Riverside attempted to help but was unsuccessful. We had to look into other options but never really severed connection. I called them asking for a nail clipping for our dog. They refused rather rudely because we had to go elsewhere. Very Disappointed and yet even more satisfied with our new Vet. They also pad the bills with often unnecessary blood or stool tests. Watch out!

Doctors are good but stuff are helpless and rude. They never help to claim my insurance that other vet usually help me without no question They responded quickly and resolved my problem. Thank you so much. But here is still little pricey I think...

Most of the vets, Dr. K in particular, and some of the assistants are really nice/caring and they're usually pretty good about fitting you in quickly for emergencies, but this place is all about making money and it ruins the entire experience. My dogs and I have been clients for two years and I was sort of annoyed by how pushy they are with vaccines and their views on what specific brands of flea/tick you should be on and how to parent your dogs (for example, some have made negative comments about me taking my dogs to daycar... read more

Ive been going for awhile and was happy in the beginning as i didn't know what to expect. However, this place is all about making money. If you ask for a certain vaccination they will add 3 more shots and give you a $150 bill. At least ask me first? Beware beware - ask prices first. Also, half the staff is-miserable. No honesty. We are switching to a new place.

I do not understand why RAH has such poor reviews. They were knowledgeable and compassionate. Everything you can expect from a Veterinarian Hospital! On 9/26/2017 We called RAH (in a frantic state) and they told me to bring Cocoa in right away. So right there that's 1 Star. Where most places were closed (it was after 6pm) or would not have seen her as a walk in (regardless of the emergency) and directed us to the emergency care hospital (which just walking in the door, the cash register is just cha-ching, cha-ching, cha-chin... read more
