Solar optimum has been a work in progress for me. At first they were incredibly informative and easy to work with. There were a few minor design tweaks here and there, regarding how the shade around our house would be affecting the solar panels. We were able to figure out the best solution. They made the process of getting solar panels very easy. I don't think about it now, except that I have a much lighter conscience about our pollution footprint. Anyone with a sunny roof should at least call them and check out how much it would cost for their specific situation. In our case, we pay less overall on energy now (monthly bill from the city plus the monthly loan payment for the solar panels) than we used to pay (when we just had a monthly bill from the city). I had my solar system installed by Solar Optimum. Prior to choosing them, I met with 3 other solar companies and boy, am I glad I went with Solar Optimum! 2 out of the 3 other solar companies told me they can't install a solar system for me because my roof was too steep, the 3rd company told me yes, they could do it, but it will cost me an arm and a leg.
