I was under a bit of a tight deadline with my solar system because I wanted to make sure I could get the full federal tax credit before Dec 21, and I appreciate how Solar Optimum worked very hard in order to meet that deadline. They know the process very well and their planning and project management is great. My system works exactly as it should, and overall I am very pleased with my experience with Solar Optimum.
We interviewed several solar companies before choosing Solar Optimum. When we talked to Shawn from Solar Optimum, we instantly knew that we could trust him and his knowledge. He understood what we wanted and he created different options for us to choose from to make sure we were happy with the solution. We are happy with the system we chose and with the service we experienced. The installation team was efficient and timely.
edited Dec 2 - to reflect receiving responses after the initial review on EnergySage, but schedule still risky. I signed my contract on 8/28/2019, and had a smooth experience up thru the Design Complete milestone on 9/24/2019. I received multiple assurances we will complete the project by year-end so that I can receive the full tax rebate. We are very happy with Solar Optimum. For the most part, my solar system remained on schedule as promised with exception of a one day delay from the utility company. From the moment we signed the papers until we switched on our system, it took about 3 months. Whenever we had a delay, the team were very quick to resolve it and kept us informed, and we know that unexpected challenges can occur, so it wasn't a big problem. We love our new solar system and are excited to see savings on our next bill.
Solar Optimum provides the best customer service and workmanship that I have seen in many years. It's nice to know that they did not "cut any corners" in installing my solar and Tesla system. After retirement I moved up to be closer to my kids. We loved the home and the neighborhood but were not used to these rolling blackouts that we had heard of. Sometimes it was only for an hour or two but other times would last hours into days. The generator we had worked but was noisy as heck and required constant refueling. After I bought my summer home and spent a great deal of time traveling back and forth between the two homes, I found the expenses had also increased and I needed to find a way to make it all possible. A friend at work had just turned his solar on and never stopped talking about it. I decided to try out Solar Optimum as well since they installed his. Not only did they cover both areas and were able to install both homes but the value of the product itself has proven itself month after month.
