Sent used gear when I purchased new.
Does this matter anymore? I worked for the company for 10 years, and the most recent order was taken care of with the same efficiency I expect from Sam Ash. The stores are closing and even the website looks like it's shutting down. My heart is heavy on several levels for the loss of this store and those people.

My item came damaged and I'm still waiting on a response 4 days later! Horrible
Sent the wrong case. I reported it and heard back right away, but then nothing. They haven't said when the correct case will ship or what is happening. I needed it last week! Musicians Friend or WWBW is much easier to deal with.
I placed an order for 4 guitar parts, one piece was shipped separately and the next two were shipped together. I spoke with a rep that stated the last part was slated to ship that day. Over a week later, the item hadn’t arrived so I called customer support where they stated the order was voided with no notification.
I bought the gear I wanted at a great price.
