we have been seeing Dr Asmar for almost a year. my daughter has teenage acne. he has no bedside manner. he spends under a minute with her even when she was quietly crying because the treatment wasn't working. today I asked about the procedure for removing scars and he said " not my department " un. real.
Bad experience. The Dr. came into the room, didn't introduce herself, didn't wash her hands, didn't say what she was about to do, and simply proceeded to check my entire body including underneath my underwear etc without even asking permission. Although I was there for a full scan, it was completely unprofessional to not even introduce herself nor explain that she would be touching intimate parts of my body and to neglect to ask for consent prior to doing so. I've had an awful experience with Schweiger since they took over The Dermatology Group in Verona. Before Schweiger, we were very happy with the Derm Group, especially with how they cared for our young child. However, I went for a cancer screening in December of 2022, was promised I would not get charged for a small biopsy but if I happened to get a bill they would remove it immediately. This was a terrible experience and I will never return here. To start with the assistant asked me what issues had brought me to the office, and it was complicated - so I told her a general idea, and she typed some of what I said into a tablet. I figured when the doctor arrived they would ask more question and get a full understanding of my concerns. Terrible experience with this office. Didn't even see an actual doctor. The girl had no experience and was totally clueless. They also screwed up calling in prescriptions. More than once. They were rude and condescending when my wife called about their mistake. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Absolutely a waste of time and money.
Looking for a new dermatologist in network and came upon this group. Upon calling the Riverdale office they redirected me to the Wayne, NJ office. I never made it in to see a doctor. The receptionist in Wayne had the worst manners and attitude. She was very short with me and spoke down to me in a demeaning way. When asking questions she seemed annoyed and snapped back when she had to repeat something. first visit went well, it was downhill after that. Had a morning appt. was kept in the waiting room for over one hour after scheduled apt. Did not offer any explanation, not even a flimsy excuse. Saw many pts come and go. Drs know what they are doing but this is a cattle mill. The worse and incompetent office staff. I will never go back and will not recommend.
Sadly, The Derm Group - Schweiger will NO longer receive a good rating from me. Dr. Nossa and P.A. Nicole Colucci are excellent at what they do, but the appointment and billing staff, receptionists and answering service are ill-informed, ignorant and rude. No one appears to take their job seriously and is incapable of assisting the patient. Looong waits for appointments only to be told that the office cannot accommodate me ON the day of appointment. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS MEDICAL OFFICE!
Horrible business! Told my husband insurance covered a treatment then was told after it was done it was $250.00 not a place to do business! This place just lost 3 patients from this. go somewhere else
