Really should be no stars ! The worst medical experience I have ever encountered with inept staff, left on extended holds, NO call backs while waiting for biopsy results. Repeatedly asked for Dr Nossa to call me.. . no call back. I will never go to this group again... They demonstrate a lack of caring with unbelievably poor patient relations. I guess when your waiting room is packed you can be disinterested.
DR Brown was good, However the entire office staff is unprofessional, rude, uninformed, and lack the skills to assist and answer patient questions. The billing dept. is terrible also. When i went to the office (2 visits) I paid my copay of $20.00 in cash, Yet I get calls, mail and texts every day for $20.00. I only wish I could get the office staff to Call me or answer a phone so that I can get my prescription. I have written letters from stating my medicine was sent to office. I cant get anyone to help. Doctors nice, but forget it. The office is not efficient. Screwed up two of my appointments, I had to leave and I had taken off of work. (They did call me back on my way home as it was snowing and they had a cancellation so I turned around). Now, 4 months later, I AM STILL RECEIVING A BILL EVERY MONTH DESPITE THE FACT THAT I PAID IN FULL. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. If you do go here, DON'T ask questions about other skin issues you're having if that's not the primary reason for the appointment. They'll bill you a crazy amount without an explanation and when you call to question the amount, they'll essentially tell you the doctor is omnipotent and that there's nothing they can do to change it because that's the code the doctor billed. I am disgusted and absolutely will not be going back. I'm sure I can find an HONEST dermatologist elsewhere.
Personally, my decision to not return to The Derm Group (Verona) was somewhat difficult due to its proximity to my home. Also, I had seen Dr. Nossa on several occasions and endeavoured to build upon that relationship. Communication is horrible. Called to check on med I was supposed to get and started a game of phone tag. Got hung up on when I started to voice my frustrations for "yelling" at the person on the phone.....well quit asking the same questions. Done. Go somewhere else. I am. I am not taking a med when I have no idea how expensive it is. Clearly the Doctors and staff do not communicate well.
One star, since zero is not an option. Arrived on-time for an 11.30 appointment and was told that Dr. Justin Brown was running "at least" one hour late. Folks, there are TELEPHONES to inform your patients of these things. Plus, why would I want to sit in a waiting room for over an hour during Covid. Unprofessional. Bad on all scores. I'm a professional, too----I serve clients. If I practiced like this, I would not have any.
I have been a patient of this group for 10 years. Wait times were alway long bu during this pandemic I thought appointed protocols would be in place in order to prevent patients from exposure. We let me say I waited 45 minutes in an unventilated hall because the waiting area was full Even after I asked about the wait I was still put off When I finally got called I waited another 10 minutes in the exam room so that's a total of an hour Just not acceptable. This office is not standing up with their mistakes. My husband made an appt for Friday the 13th at 2:30 with a Dr Sha and yesterday received a text message confirming for the 12th! When I called for him they could not even find him. They had his birthdate wrong. Now his appointment is canceled after a week waiting to be seen but now he is not because there are no doctors available. My responsibility is to make change and cancel appointments for a testing facility of 7 cardiologists. I would never treat patients this way. S... read more
