I've visited this facility a few times in the past for skin treatments and had a great experience. Based on that, when my husband needed a medically necessary Botox treatment--an alternative to surgery--we called here based on a referral. Unfortunately, this turned out to be a complete waste of time because of an appointment that was scheduled by this facility. The office experience here is really bad. Appointments are very hard to get, and after you finally get one, they never see you on time. Waits of 30-45 minutes are common, and no one bothers to tell you that the doctor is running behind or provide any updates on expected wait time.

First off this place is a joke!i was seeing Dr paul Hoesly in the past and he was a good Dr..,.but he moved to another state, this time i had Dr Anjali Morales,I waited for 55 minutes to see her and she comes in like a tornado and leaves like a tornado,She said she can only see me for one problem only??!!I remember i told the person that i made the appointment with i was coming also for my hair loss,She said i need to make another appointment I waited for this appointment three months! Wow ... what an unpleasant experience - I should have read the other reviews before even scheduling a visit here. I called and sent a picture in advance to the center only to be told that they can likely treat my request. Then when I came in I was told that my request was not really assessed and the person that can assess it is not in today - which makes no sense since I was asked to come on this day ... why waste my time ... ? This was my first appointment at this clinic & was seen by Dr. Mak-Fung who was so RUDE & UNHELPFUL. She was speaking too fast so I asked her to slow down. She said she was talking fast bc she thought I only had 1 concern regarding my skin, but I came in for a few reasons, which I mentioned to the front desk (unfortunately that wasn't communicated to her but that's an internal issue beyond me). The only thing I liked about the California Skin Institute was their excellent dermatologist Doctor Paul Hoesly (and a kindly staff). After almost two months of two ER visits and four other doctors I finally found Dr. Hoesly who very kindly and compassionately diagnosed my problem. I am grateful for his expertise and sensitivity.

Sorry to say ,but the office constantly makes mistakes about appointments. Two times they told my husband he had the wrong date. He brought the hand written appointment the second time and they said we do not know how this happened. Today my daughter who took off work from her very busy schedule was told she was mistaken. No one holds anyone accountable for these costly mistakes. They need to get their office staff together and be more accountable.
