I liked the medical personnel, but the logistics with appointment arrangements can be nightmarish. All ye dentists of the world, feel ye not inferior to the MDs, for lo, thy game of appointment making when cavities are discovered and followup procedures are needed is strong. Why can't this clinic perform two followup excisions in a single appoinment? "That's our policy" it seems to me was their response. I hope the option to give zero stars will be possible. WORST PLACED EVER. Staff is not professional at all. Think about it before going to this place

Been trying for months 2 get appointment. My Doctor faxed referral to there office. I have called to make appointment they said the person in charge of the faxes would call me back never has. Terrible customer service and the gals in office do not know what there doing! It's has been over 2 months since I started this process. The Doctors need to get there staff together. Do Not Go There! I wish I could do 1 star.

After calling me the day before my appointment to change the Doctor and the time. They then texted me with an earlier time than I was told on the phone. I made last minute changes to my activities in order to get there on time, only to find they had no record of the appointment. The front office has all the warmth and patient friendly attitude as one would enjoy at the DMV. Seems like an assembly line operation. I will have to find another derm.

I have not visited this place yet. I made an appointment but the Dr cancelled on me so they called me to reschedule my appointment. The lady on the phone was extremely rude and inpatient. I can't wait to meet with the rude lady in-person on my appointment. I will audio-record my conversation with her and file a complaint.

My dermatologist with CSI is no longer there. Yesterday was my first appointment with Dr. Ortiz. She was wonderful. I had a full body check and she also addressed each question I asked. Ashley at the front desk was warm and friendly. The only feedback I have is that I noticed that all of the chairs in their waiting room have arms. The chairs would be hard for a person in a much larger body to sit in. It would be nice to see some chairs without arms or benches.

1st visit at California Skin Institute and it will be my last. Arrived at 8:30 am for a 8:50 appt. Simple skin check with a physicians assistant. Lobby was packed. Stood in line for 10 mins to check in. Had to fill out forms etc. And then waited and waited and waited. Name was called for my appt at 9:52. Patient ahead of me for 8:40 appt was called at 9:35 am. The people at the front desk, generally not helpful (they were complaining to each other about other patients who were delayed "you can't make it very one happy" ... read more

I have met with Dr. Mak -Fung three times now, each time underwhelmed. If it was not for the Assistant Jaylynn I would have walked out. The MA was fantastic and interpreted what the Doctor was telling me, the Dr. Spoke way to fast and seemed not to really care or understand my dermatology. When I tried to understand, her answers were short and rushed. I was not the most important person in the room as a patient. I went back two more times because she put me on a regimen........don't think I'll go back. MA was great.

The phone lines at California Skin Institute are reprehensible! You leave several messages and no one returns your calls. It is very difficult to speak with a medical assistant. You feel you are in a black hole.
