Extremely disappointed with their lack of organization, constant miscommunication, and absence of professionalism. My dad's dermatologist referred him to CSI for MOHS surgery in March 2023. Throughout March to July 2023 I have tried to set up an appointment with them for this surgery to happen, but to no avail. AVOID THIS OFFICE!!!! Dr. Mak -Fung - too rushed * She was super rushed as though she wanted to get in and out of the appt as fast as possible. She spoke too fast. Another reviewer, Patrick (2 star review) said the same thing. Loud, frenetic madhouse, not a medical clinic environment * Super loud waiting room, competing sources of music. This is in regards to organizational side of this business - I understand that working at the front desk is arguably the most important and challenging jobs at an office like this. However, answering the phones and effectively communicating with patients and clients is a core part of the job. I had an appointment that I was driving 30 minutes for during traffic right as I got off of work. this place is horrible. not only do the treatments not work, but they send bills years later claiming you didn't show up for your appointment (that you already paid for once!!!!) and charge more money. will never return.

Husband went to CA Skin Institute because couldn't get in to PAMF derm and he knew there was a problem. Got many things burned off, 2 lesions biopsied. TWO weeks later, got a call stating they had results. Called back 6 times that day, then 3 day weekend, nothing, then called 4 times today. I went there in person since no one answers the phone and they gave me the biopsy results.....yup, it's CANCER. Told to wait 15 more min for the PA to come talk to me and I said to call him. I was referred to CSI by their other office in Sunnyvale stating they have Dr's whom would be able to assist with botox for TMJ. I called and left a voicemail for a consultation a couple days go by no calls were returned. I called again and was able to schedule a consultation. 2 weeks before my appt. I called to make sure the consultation/procedure would be covered in my insurance and the receptionist was so rude. Absolutely awful patient care. Dr. Mak-Fung's team takes WEEKS to call me back in general and up to 2 months to process prior authorizations for medications. I've worked in pharmacy for 8 years, prior authorizations for dermatology medications do not take months, even if an appeal is needed. And no patient should expect to only receive a call back from their provider after WEEKS of leaving messages. As a fellow healthcare professional I am so disgusted and furious.
