This place was very good last year, but not sure what happened. Food was mediocre and tasted frozen. Seafood was rubbery and not edible. Way overpriced for what we received. Won’t be going back.
We were seated immediately and after about 15 minutes our waitress took our drink order. There were 3 other tables seated in the entire restaurant. We got our drinks pretty quickly and submitted our order for the 2 of us. Meanwhile the table of 6 next to us had their order mixed up and very late. We have been to ELA’S on the water atleast 5-10 times over the last 8-9 years when we visit Hilton head. It has always been a place we recommend until this time. We sat down 5 minutes early for our 6:15 reservation and it was 6:30 when we were finally approached by a waitress for water. The food was not great considering the price. Scallops were dry and over cooked. Red snapper dry and over cooked. Don’t go here try other places.
Food was huge disappointment. Risotto was crunchy. Fish was overcooked. When we requested more sauce for crab cakes, the sauce that was ultimately delivered was terrible and was not the original sauce. Expensive. Much better restaurants on the island. Local will not return
Steak was dry and scallops were not the best. Over valued.
My adult daughter and had reservations to dine here while on vacay. Beautiful place, horrible, Service with attitude to boot. Waited for everything and had to “remind” servers for everything. Seafood gumbo was full of sausage. I make gumbo and …. We are pretty patient people but this experience was painful!
Views are amazing, small portions, service horrible!!!!! Not worth the cost!
For the amount of money we spent the food was terrible. The fish was dry and the steaks were chewy. The truffle fries were shoe string fries that barely tasted like a truffle fry. The service was good and everyone was friendly. Dessert was good. Would not recommend and will never go again.
